Bto made the war FOR the trials.
We both agreed the trials could easily handle it and I was always there for backup.
Bto not being there had absolutely nothing to do with the outcome.

Agreed, i've said this from the start.

As it drops everyone else in the deep end, because i thought the blasters had been assigned when they had not, i had other things to do like assign the snipers along with get the war going.

I apologise for the loss, i know i piled a 126 but it was only temporarily to knock him down. Unfortunately we had too many KO's which is probably the blasters fault. We didn't nearly do enough damage on our main piles. And the people getting Dced didn't help a lot either.

As above, i'm extremly sorry. But people should not make events, WAR OR SKILLING that they know they can't attend.

Agreed. The outcome was based on the lack of binding hybrids, and lack of composure at the begining (due to their premature charge). Our tanking had a bit to be desired also (Y)

During the Trial Raid Leader period, things can be a bit bumpy. This process only lasts one more week and I ask for your patience neko2.gif

Which relates to a point made in IRC

<@[Randy]> So if Bto made the war, didn't come, and we won 14-0, you would make the post?
<+Dilz> actually yes
<+[Jon]|Boogers102> You can't say that tbh
<+[Jon]|Boogers102> Because you don't know what you would have done if we won.
<+Dilz> Then why assume?

Assuming the future? If BTO was there, and blasters had been assigned, the outcome could of been different? Who is to say we wouldnt of lost anyway?

My point is if your making a war, or any event, attend it. If you know your not going to be there, dont bother making one.

Who is to say we would have won? The argument goes both ways. So that point is null quite honestly.

Our guys got K0'd that had nothing to do with BTO, or blasters.

Dilz, you're telling leaders what they should & should not be doing?

One person can set up the event & another person can host/lead it.
There is nothing wrong in that.

BTO didn't do anything out of the ordinary, there were other leaders online, so we didn't disappoint GK.

You shouldn't be so directing at BTO, people will setup events & others will host in the future, this won't change anything.

I'm tempted to close this, but in regards to other people wishing to voice their opinion, this shall stay open.

The problems with that is the lack of communication. If he had said beforehand he wasnt going to make it, then Jess could of assigned blasters instead of being wrongly led to believe they already had.

I agree it's one problem, but it's not a big problem. The main reason why we lost is because our members got K0'd and and we had maybe 2 people tank for a reasonable time. (Nice work Mugger tongue.gif)

They only lost 3 people that fight.

Having 2 blasters would not have made up for the difference in lack of tanking ability shown by our part.

It is understandable to say that you shouldn't make something if you can't attend it, but things like this happen at short prep wars. You miss a few aspects such as binding and blasting and then sometimes a poor performance occurs.

It was explained, however, that BTO did discuss it with Randy, and it should be the raid leaders who make sure that all of the positions are filled and that everything is straight before the war. Assumptions make an "ass out of u and me", and it seems it did just that.

They are trials, so give them a break. We all make mistakes.

On the other note, sorry everyone for my own poor performance. :<

I gave a warning about the hybrids.
I said that we would have a lack of hybrids, and that they were the most important thing.
Even before the war started, I tried to help out by seeing how many hybrids we would pull. After only 4 said they were hybriding, I pmed Jess about the hybrid problem.

In a fight like this, the majority of the fighters are rangers and meleers. Without binds, only the rangers can hit. Without hybrids, we lose the effectiveness of our meleers; therefore we lose the most important aspect of an all styles fight - having multiple styles to combat prayers and inflict much more damage.

When it comes to melee vs rune + prayer and range vs rune, the melee will do more damage.

With only rangers being able to hit, we wouldnt be doing as much damage as we usually would be capable of. Thats why they tanked all over us.

Theres a reason why we dont emphasize on blasters in a small all styles fight. They use up too much food, and they're easy kills. Add on the range/melee/and binds and they go down very quickly.

As for people getting koed/dcs, I'm sorry.

I tried to be as helpful as I could to the leaders before I left.
I know you dont mean to single me out Dilz, but the first post kinda implied it. I'm personally not offended, but heres my argument:

-Me failing to assign 2 blasters wouldnt have made as much of a difference if we didnt lose some to kos. Which was definitely not in my power.
-Me failing to assign 2 blasters wouldnt have made as much of a difference if we had hybrids, which I emphasized.
