Guitar Hero: World Tour drum broken

So yeah, got my band bundle as i wanted for xmas, yesterday on the 30th the red pad, which if your a righty, is a key pad has become 95% dead. I cant physically activate it with the drum sticks provided i have to like hit it hard with my knuckle.

So i read up on the internet, the Guitar Hero drums are full of glitches, some double hits, some cant activate star power and some like mine get so unresponsive that they have to send them back

So i phoned up Red Octane, they're sending me out a USB Midi cable, and provided a link which i can download some software and try and upgrade the sensitivity of my drums.

All in all, the games awesome, but whoever made/designed the drums needs a serious kick in the ass. Alot of people said that this sort of thing has never happened on the Rock Band 2 drums, so yeah, i may be switching games soon omghash.gif.png

Whos got it? Had any troubles with it?

Guitar Hero: World Tour drums fail? Really? I'm not surprised... they rushed this game to the shelf... They spent hardly any time on it lol... not to mention the drum kit is made for left handed people, just use a rock band drum kit.. it's much more fun.

There goes Ranma, trashing Guitar Hero AGAIN. Nothing new there.

Anyway, I haven't had a single problem with my Guitar Hero Drums, Cam. Looks like you just got the stick in the ass there.

When I bought Guitar Hero World Tour, I already had the microphone from my mom buying a karaoke games and 3 guitars from previous Guitar Heros, so all I needed was the drums. We couldn't find just the drums anywhere so we just bought the Rock Band drums and they work, so if you need a replacement I suppose you could always go and buy them.

I have not played on Guitar Hero drums, however, so I wouldn't know the difference.

I really don't understand why it's called GUITAR HERO when they put drums+a mic in it. I like the game, I just hate how they tried turning it into a Rock Band equivalent. Keep to the guitar, not anything else Red Octane. angryhahs.gif.png

I don't think you can say it ruined the game. It's more like any copy cat product. They just never perform up to the standards set by the creators of the original product.

Look at the blackberry storm. It's supposed to compete with the iphone but everyone I know of says its full of bugs and hard to use.

So I don't know. Had RIM come out with the blackberry storm before the iphone, would the iphone have been an epic fail? Who knows. Probably not since it's an Apple product but you get the idea.
