First thing I have to deal with in 2009 is two leavings of old friends, one leak from Level 2, one flame war between Steve and Mark plus a few others, two members defying my orders publicly, and a queue of complaints in the security forums.

This was in one day, following two days of my inactivity.
I am getting worn out by WG.
Seriously worn out.

Hours and hours on movies, and advertising, and anniversary events, the shirt, the war preparations, with a large stack of work ahead of me. An inactivity sweep, a war, the clansite, more recruitment.

WG is a very inefficient machine. Myself and the other leaders put in a lot of energy, for so little outcome. Our massive efforts are squandered. Consider WG as a megaphone. No matter how loud the leaders shout through it, the strength of their voice depends entirely on the megaphone's power. If the members are lazy, the leaders can shout as hard as they want, but it won't be to much use.

I have been working supremely hard and to no avail. Of the 40 T Shirts circulating the globe, four people are entered into the contest, because most can't be bothered spending 5 minutes to take pictures. Members are getting careless with their flames. They rely on the leaders to clean their messes instead of acting on maturity. Replies to orders from the leadership are "No thanks". The emeritus members are whining because they can no longer freeload.

I am not a renewable resource like you think I am. I have almost burned out, lacking the patience to work on WG. Every day there are new problems that members create. Should this keep up, you'll find I no longer have the energy to give to WG. I've almost lost my voice, screaming into the megaphone, hoping it will work.

I DO want to expel some members that are costing me work. You might be able to figure out for yourself whether you are an asset to this clan or a detriment. Are you giving as much as you are taking? Consider next time you want to flame a member or ignore an event... are you being a worthwhile member?

And don't be one of the people that thinks this doesn't apply to you. Some of you who think I'm not referring to you... I am.

We have discussed this. And I agree with you, some people do need to grow up.

Thank me as much as you want but it's not going to make WG any better.
If you are grateful for it, don't spend time saying thank you.
Just do as I ask.

We are all extremely gracious of what you and the council do for us, even if some of us don't show it.

Please keep up the tremendous work you put into this clan every single day.

I understand, you work hard and feel nobody cares after the countless hours you put in behind the scenes. We do care, even if we aren't the best at showing it. Allowing my problems to spill out onto the forms won't have helped the workload either, for which I am sorry for.

This is not a post about wanting gratitude.
It's about giving the leaders too much work and not taking some upon yourselves.

There's more than two, though some people didn't seen your post on the second page of the topic (like Maths). I signed up Yes for the war, and 99% chance I will be there, I don't need a signature to remind people with everyone else doing it and all the various notices/PMs about it. My closing statement would be is that you brought this particular headache on yourself, if you just had left it as highly encouraged you would still have the same amount of people doing it without the additional drama of those who disagree.

I don't care what your reasons are. You removed a sig that I manually put in with a warning. You also ignored Randy's post saying it was an order not a request. And I can't stand people who deliberately ignore the commands of the leadership because they want to get their way.

And order is an order. This was a harmless order that did not make you suffer one bit and you chose to ignore it and that angers me. Don't ever come to me for a favour.

I haven't posted a WG T-shirt entry mainly because I live in the middle of a trailer trash area, nothing really appealing and bad quality camera. Is it ok if I post my previous picture? :S

Ok Dilz.

1. Payment of a few hundred dollars is due in a few months to keep our server. I would like to finish this shirt contest in order to get some money from future shirt sales to cover the server costs.

2. The members who won the clan quest need to send me their addressed for the IRL reward

3. Get the fucking war images in your sigs and get the other members signed up.

4. Pay some attention to events. Event leaders should not over-host. Too many events means poorer attendance

5. Emeritus members need to stop bitching that they lost some privileges. You are here for the community so you shouldn't whine about being unable to see clan matters.

6. Work on recruitment. Post on RSC a bit to keep our rep strong. Refer members.

7. Up the raid attendance.

8. Stop bitching about other members to the council. Work shit out yourself and stop being children. By the time you hit high school you should already know how to deal with problems with other people. Take it in private and sort it out. Don't just hate them and expect someone else to magically discipline the other member for you.

9. Fill in your own gaps. If your weakness is your combat level, train. If your weakness is your posting, post.

10. If a leader asks you to do something, do it unless you have a good reason not to. You should know that the leaders are not lazy. We do dirty work. We are down there on the same level as the members, not up in the sky delegating shit and being too lazy to get our hands dirty. If we ask you to do something it is for a good reason, not because we are being lazy or stupid.

I believe they need the Important Announcements forum too.

Thats really good to hear, Emeritus is no longer a headless rank. Well then, guess I do not really have anything to complain about.

Yes, I realize this post is about me too, sometimes of times I just complain alot, and instead of working with the council I simply react to your solutions. However, I do think some kind of pain in necessary and should be expected with new ideas, or it is more likely to end up with bad ones. I have actually got my combat to 120 finally after like 4+ months of being at 119, if that counts for anything tongue.gif

I agree with this and I try my hardest to help where I can. Whether spending a little time making a war signature, taking a picture, or making a banner, I do try but, sometimes I cannot do everything. I do know where you are coming from, as I have lead a clan before, but I believe that I do not know to the extent that you are coming from because the matters here are roughly 2 to 3 times bigger than I have faced. But..

If you need anything from me other than those 10 points that you outlined, feel free to ask because I am willing to help for my clan.

i agree and the thing about over hosting is not event leaders fault but does need to stop. People wont go to an event because they figure theres plenty more. You still need events in different timezones though

Some of us have, I've sent round a further pm reminding the full team and we're also about to finalise the final 10 emotes for the second part of our prize.

The problem is... it's our job, but the main problem is you say less events, but some of the council then say (if we decrease the amount of events) that we are not pulling our weight, not doing our jobs... just understand that we can't read your minds, this is why I like you telling us these things, it's helpful.

We just need to communicate with each other, every one, not just the staff with the other staff, members with members, all of us.

I hope people don't find my topics to be complaining more than trying to improve the clan and make some people happier about their positions in the clan. I understand that leaders have a lot of work to do and I'm sort of adding on to their list, but in the end it will give leaders less work (if it's a good idea).
