Technically you can send anything over IRC with the file share ****, viruses included, you just have to accept it first, I know Abs tried sending me a conversation one time. No clue though for SS since I only know that the File Share works on mIRC and other programs a like.

Good luck finding out whats going on.

VNC has absolutely *NOTHING* to do with SwiftSwitch. It is a program Eregion2 is using for his own reasons, none of which are related in the least to SwitchSwift or even Runescape.
The only thing related to Runescape in the least was that the person who hacked him was a Runescape member, and someone who knew of our forums.

Look here, I recognize the young blood there but chill. What's up with that? Did I quote you when I said that? No.

I'm just giving an alternative point of view for people who use Swiftswitch/Swiftkit but don't really know **** about these kind of stuff. The topic title itself can be pretty misleading for those who use it.

I think you missed this post Robbie; would this be more like what actually happened? I've updated VNC and set it so that it won't start-up automatically anymore, and I'll be changing the password before its used again. I don't do this sort of crap just for fun, I thought there was a serious threat. If you want to imply that that makes me mentally deficient, I doubt anyone will bother to stop you.

I actually saw the quoted post, but um...
First off, the VNC has complete control,
Second, SwiftSwitch is *not* located in /system32/. That is your main windows important-files folder.
Third... I don't see why its so hard to pull up notepad(or another program you can type into), and simply type random technical-looking lines.

Now, knowing that your VNC is running all the time, it wouldn't be hard for someone to simply brute-force the password. It might take days or even weeks, but with plenty of time, its not like it mattered to the hacker.

He or she also could have had access for days before letting you know by doing all this stuff visibly, and could have put a keylogger or something on your computer easily - Also, even if he was just sitting there watching your computer over VNC, it would be horribly easy to see your Runescape PIN(Password however would require a keylogger).
I would suggest you do a virus scan now, just to be safe.

Me9alomaniac, I despise people trying to act like computer illiteracy is OK on the internet - You might be computer illiterate when you first start, but you had better learn some stuff within a couple years, or you are going to get scammed. I am not saying you need to know a programming language or two, but reading and following a guide or two on computer safety is a must, at the very least.

I was really disgusted with this part of your post, and it was the main reason I posted. You mixed real and made up terms, and all but one weren't even used in the conversation. I don't like your attitude here, "Don't want to take the time to learn how to use a real program, or even the terms used with it? Use TIKO, and stay dumb(and hope your browser is more secure than SwiftSwitch)!"
