     IRC Nickname: [Randy] Group: Raid Leader Posts: 5065 Member No.: 16 Joined: December 29, 2007 Total Events Attended: 499    | Fundraising Week Before we begin our transition into the wonderful world of PK Run-Ins, we need to make sure we are well prepared in terms of gear. PK Run-Ins involve losing several rune sets, bind robes, runes, and food. It's a big loss of cash, but it is worth it, trust me. To prepare for this, we'll be throwing a week full of events to make sure you have enough cash to keep up in gear. The events will try and be friendly to all timezones. Note: The days are in EST, Aussie will always be a day ahead. Mass 15 minutes before the listed times at the specified place. If any events are interrupted due to Pks or wars, delay until after. Day One Monkfish Fishing Monkfish are a fast way to earn a lot of cash while giving a nice hefty amount of experience. This require you complete the Swan Song quest. Thursday - January 8th, 2009 -9pm GMT -4pm EST -8am AEST (Jan 9th) Mass: Piscatoris Bank w27 Bring: Small Fishing Net Day Two Pest Control Pest Control gives you great exp as well as cash for winning. We'll get the world off of the channel #rs Friday - January 9th, 2009 -1am GMT (Jan 10th) -8pm EST -12pm AEST (Jan 10th) Mass: Pest Control Bank w27 Bring: Armor & Weapons Day Three PVP Hotspot Alching We'll sit in a quite place in a PVP world and alch/afk/relax. The whole have 76k in your invent to build up potential. After an hour we'll head down to Varrock and do the 26k trick. Saturday - January 10th, 2009 -4am GMT (Jan 11th) -11pm EST -3pm AEST (Jan 11th) Mass: Bounty Hunter Bank w27 Bring: Alchs, food, teles, 76k Day Four Abyss Runecrafting We'll runecraft using the abyss and sell our runes (or keep them). Sunday - January 11th, 2009 -5pm GMT -12pm EST -4am AEST (Jan 12th) Mass: Edgeville w27 Bring: Pure Essence, pouches, weight reducing clothes, pickaxe Day Five Nothing, taking a break. Monday - January 12th, 2009 Day Six PVP Hotspot Mining We'll head up to hobgoblin mine and power-mine the rocks. The whole have 76k in your invent to build up potential. After an hour we'll head down to Varrock and do the 26k trick. Tuesday - January 13th, 2009 -9pm GMT -4pm EST -8am AEST (Jan 14th) Mass: Bounty Hunter Bank w27 Bring: Pickaxe, weight reducing clothes, food, tele, 76k Day Seven Yew Chopping Yews sell for a decent amount of cash and give great exp. You may even fletch them into bows for future alching. Wednesday - January 14th, 2009 -4am GMT (Jan 15th) -11pm EST -3pm AEST (Jan 15th) Mass: Varrock West Bank w27 Bring: Woodcut Axe, weight reducing clothes I don't expect everyone to attend every single one of these events, as even I won't, but please try to attend as many as you can. At the end of the week, hopefully everyone will have earned enough cash to buy around 5-10 rune sets and other gear. Event leaders: Please try and hold these events because I will not be likely to make all of them. --------------------   | ||||

And even if we're not up for masses we *could* split up and each tackle our own world, but just do everything with WG members. If the goal is money, those are some great alternatives. I understand the idea of using these methods though, they're more inclusive of the entire clan, which is also good. --------------------   | ||||

That's basically what the week is for. Besides technically we can't force anyone to spend it on Raid/PKRI gear, but the idea is that because we've held this event, people have no excuse for not having gear because we helped them make the money for it. -------------------- | ||||
