No threats, eg. "I will leave if _______" 2. No scenarios, eg. "I wouldn't join WG if I thought _________" 3. No naming specific names except non-WG and His Lordship 4. ZERO flaming tolerance, with immediate suspensions given out. 5. Nothing that could lower morale. __________ We had a RoT castle wars crash once and lost 20 members to it. As to avoid it, I want to conduct this maturely. I have just been flamed by about 5-6 different clans... here's the story.
The discussion is about the ethics of WG. Under most circumstances we frown upon crashing. Does a hacking clan deserve a clean fight? We have to choose between two morals. Crashing or hacking. Inaction against either validates it as acceptable. Now onto an equally important topic. DF and perhaps one or two other clans now have the intention of planting spies in WG. This means applications have to get bloody intense. Can a leader please disable the top-clan option to join WG, thanks. Also referrals will now have to be pre-intro referrals. You have to have known them before they intro'd, and each application need TWO referrals. Be VERY careful with recruitment. Leaders, do not accept any applications without my green light from now on. ___________ Be delicate in your replies. I am currently supremely agitated, and holding my composure with difficulty. I have been flamed by about 10 clans, threatened with crashed from DF, had to fight my old friend Dhboy on MSN, argue with (unnamed member) over DF, as well as cop the usual anti-Lordship remarks. If there is flaming on this topic, I could very well overreact, and lose WG's trust. The last thing I want is for this to turn into a RoT Fidelity Crash situation, with 15-20 members leaving. --------------------  | ||||||||

VR and clans that fight VR like DF are way out of our league and could hunt WG into extinction. It was a mistake to agree to this, no offense. I suggest stay out of it, we don't need to take sides we can be fence-sitters and that way take no blame. I agree with Joe, hunting them is fine. Crashing them is another story. However any wars after this 1 the crashing should have started or no1 should war vr. People are now assuming df have taken vrs side however they only wanted a clean fight. I agree with Joe very strongly, and about the recruitment deal I totally understand but going that extreme is going to hurt people wanting to join WG that are innnocent. deal is we cant back off when being blackmailed, if we make a choice then stick to it, otherwise dont make the choice in the 1st place, and also be sure that the teams we are baclking up will be willing to back us up as well --------------------    | ||||||||

I believe we should stand up in our morals, but we're just a speckle in the clan world. It would hurt us way more to continue this then to let things just go. We're also not strong enough. They're way out of our league. Well said mate, but the fact of making it harder for any new people to join only makes us wealer, too many restrictions etc, extenxive back ground checks can help with that etc. but the easieats way for them to do it is to remove the persons name from clan list etc, but this new restrictiuon is still gonna hurt us -------------------- | ||||||||

If the poll had been kept open for even a measly 2 hours I'm sure at least 30% of WG would have voted and the results would be fairly clear. Who's decision was it to have WG help some clan in some private issue, besides your own? Helping a rather weak clan and then getting all of our planned wilderness events ruined by two strong clans isn't the answer either. It's just added fuel to the fire of something we didn't have to be part of.
