I was just thinking about some way to get people to go to events and thought of taking a screen shoot not only the the people attending, but people who are online and NOT attending.

Both would be logged and maybe after several events skipped while online they would be notified and given a warning.

Obviously this isn't perfect because there are obvious flaws, but I don't see it hurting. The posts don't have to be public so it's not like everyone could shame the people into going, but just a log for the tertiaries and Council to keep an eye on who's just skipping events while they're online. Obviously none of our events are mandatory, but not going to any can't be accepted either.

Just a thought.

This was actually discussed recently.
Event skipping seems like it gets ignored, but it really doesn't... wink.gif

It is not hard to put your private "off", that is what most of the people do.

I know, which is why I said this:

Yeah events aren't mandatory, but it's not like it's all right to just skip every event that is going on even while you're online just because it's not exactly what you want. Sure you could be active via attending raids and such, but because they're spontaneous you can't really base activity solely off that because it really is a "If I'm online, I'll be there," kind of event now, rather than "I know it's every Saturday at 7PM, and I get off work at that time every Saturday, so I can be there 90% of the time."

We can't force you to go to every single event, but what might happen is you could get kicked for not going to enough events to maintain activity.

Make certain events madatory, events that are going to be an asset to the clan, not events like ToG, or FoG (people should be expected to have charged robes shield etc and got in thir own time)

Other events like the odd PC event, agility events and such, which benifit the clan should be attended.

Besides whats more fun in RS than to attend an event with friends and have a laugh about it on TS etc?

Mm well it does say in the rules that no event is mandatory (Apart from RAW wars and such) So maybe try making a minimum events attended per week.
Say if you dont meet the requierments for the first week you get told off
Second week you get a warn
Third week you get a SERIOUS warn
Fourth you get kicked?

I say just make raids mandatory hash.png
