We'll be having, over the next few weeks, a fair amount of practice sessions in the F2p Clan Arena.

Now we'll be seperating the different elements of focus of each session.
Here's the preview:

1) Hugging
2) Binding
3) Sniping, snipers and how to handle them
4) Pile Switching
5) Ranging

We'll most likely add more to the program, and repeat some of the main focuses twice.

The final objective is managing to combine all these 4 (five, eventually) elements and being expert in all.

Feel free to suggest and criticize.

for those getting k0d a lot and need practice hugging. I recommend duel arena with the setting to have the blockade thingys and make it so they cant pray. Give them food and u use a whip and all your good items and they have nothing and try hugging the barricades and anticipating where u are going and working on getting into the spots that make you stuck.....

You picked a good order as well.
Perhaps change the first from hugging to tanking?

Familiarizing the areas for good hugging spots would be good. The only time to scout out the area is during an event, its not like the old wildy where we knew all the spots.

We should split up and challenge each other for some inter clan wars to really get it down to an art.

It's no good practicing hugging + piling, when the first element you need to practice is to be aware of when the other team may pile you + when you are getting piled.
That's the first thing we need to practice in my opinion.
You won't be able to hug + tank + drag if you don't realize you're being piled.

Sounds good. The bigger the attendance, the better the practice will be. If only a few turn up, it's not going to help much. You dont go "HA Ima tank" when you outlast 5 peeps attacking you. user posted image

Like Maths said and Lordy answered, the thing that we're the worst at in my opinion is noticing when you are being piled.

I've thought of ways to practice that, it's not an easy thing to do. Just doing regular practice events would involve fall in's and new piles so in a way that's getting that part of the practice in. It is, like Lordy said, something you develop on your own and will hopefully get better in time.

I'm going to try to host as many of these as I can. New members and old, rusty ones all need as much practice as we can.

Well I remember what Cody (Mustangred1) did when he was a raid leader.
We went to lvl 40 ish wild and all fell in on him.
One person was picked at random and told to stand a few feet away from the fall in.
On TS the order was given at a certain time to attack the person standing out of the fall in and trying to catch him unawares.

The person then had to tank, hug, drag as much as he could using full prayer, rune, staff, food until he died.

I think it was really good , helped a lot smile.gif

Prior to one our 2007 official wars (can't remember which one), I had organized that kind of event, specifically for hybrids.

We DD'd, and a leader would call out a name that everybody should bind & pile instantly.

However, the problem with that practice event is that the name is called out. Most of the time the people that get KO'd without noticing are killed on almost silent piles.

It could work with two teams though.
