The Australian sector is really lacking in the amount of raids we do.
Wg honestly has nobody to hold any raids atm.

Lordy - Too busy with other clan matters.
Anat - General council, not a raid leader.
Mugger - Don't expect him to make 10am raids neko2.gif

Anyway, I think I speak for everyone when I say we really do want to go out sometimes in pvp.
The new raid system really doesn't work for the australians in regards to actually getting raids.
I honestly haven't seen any raids for the last 2-3 weeks for aussies.

I hope council realizes this and holds applications for an australian raid leader.
From there, you can pick/choose who you think is suitable for the job.

Comment/discuss.

MAybe not a Raid leader, but maybe a leader of some form to assist cause Anat and that aren't always there people need to recognise who is on most of the time in Aussie time and give them something to help with organising fun on the spot events and hassels that happen

I remembered, when we don't have an official Australian raid leader during raids, we sort of just form ourselves during raids. Some take turns and other inevitably led when no one else were really into it or happy to be led. In fact, although few (due to the region's member count), a couple raid leaders sprung from it naturally.

However, the positions then were considered based on a person's calibre and not necessarily where they reside first. Although, it is a bonus when so happens a suitable candidate of a region is amongst.

Instead of having any officials, just form among yourselves. Take turns, get the hang of it, who knows, some of you might discover some hidden talents without having had a go at it before, making excellent exposure.

We have Omar who got us a war or two in the AEST timezone, even though he was EST, he's a good pick.

Plus we've got like..2-3 retired raid leaders in the AEST Timezone, so I'm sure we have people with potential to lead Australian Raids

This is why I felt that Zemus had to be among the New raid leaders. Instead we picked 2 gmt Raid leaders.

Zemus showed potential for being a good raid leader.

But it's not a directly related problem to me. Just giving my input.

I'm not going to post my comments as it will end up in a flame fest. The council picked who they thought was best.

Why did you edit my post lol? I'm not saying anything about you, I'm saying people do actually have potential thats all.

I in no way hinted that you don't deserve it, because you do lol.

Gmt = 10 am = school on weekdays. On weekends however its whether we wake up early or not, and most of us are tired after school week, so we need our rest.

It was good for Omar to host some Aussie wars, but its too much pressure to have him just for Aussies. Its a good idea for some retired raid leaders though. I can think of 3 good candidates already.

Not picking on anyone here, but it's annoying to hear people complain about having to wake up at 10AM, when pretty much every war is at 5AM or something for Aussies.

It's not fair to our current Raid Leaders to force them to look after the Aussie timezone because it's such a huge difference.

Some people have said that BTO is the one to cover the Aussie timezone...well awesome. I love having to give up my Saturday afternoon because for BTO that's late as hell. Every other timezone basically gets their raids the the single best time for them - Aussies get screwed over in pretty much every single event, especially raids because of the new spontaneous system, and obviously it's not that high of a priority to get that fixed.

Perhaps until Council makes a decision regarding this issue, the Aussies could start up some raids themselves to show the council that you do in fact want to raid and they will be successful. I'm sure you won't have any troubles finding someone to lead those (I can see 4 people who would be ideal candidates off the top of my head) so I would guess that they would in fact end up being pretty successful.

I will agree with you on the 'new' raid system, we've done this method before and it worked fine because leaders actually gave 3 - 4 days notice, since the change I've seen barely any raids that were over 2 days notice.
