Although it was slow starting and at times in shambles, I really enjoyed it and hope we keep this event going.

Here's the attendance:

The key topics brought up were:

- Recruitment; one thing that seems to be on a few members minds is recruitment. There has been a lot of talk about security and tightening down on applications, and it is necessary. But we still want some new personalities. I remember back when you would always see WG parading through W27, but I can't remember the last recruitment walk we've had. A sound counter argument is that we want members to find us via RSC, they are the ones experienced at warfare, but as Leecable highlighted, we were all new to warring at some point. But if anything for the community's sake we should have some fun events in which we bring WG to the world, have a laugh and pick up some new members on the way.

- Mentorships; for the mentee, in a new clan surrounded by unfamiliar people, this period can be really quite intimidating. But to have a mentor that adds you on msn, always wants to know how you're doing, hanging around with you on RuneScape, and generally being a good friend could really take a load off. Of course WG is a welcoming place anyway, but a shared view is that Mentorships have somewhat slacked and don't mean as much as they used to.

- P2P PVP Events; this was brought up by a relatively new member. He asked, "Is WG just a F2P clan?". This was due to the fact we haven't had a safe P2P PVP event in tiiiime. Ye we're all happy about the wilderness being brought back, but we used to have such events as Fight Pits regularly and they were really fun. So perhaps we should host more events along the lines of Castle Wars, P2P CWA against world 129 and Fight Pits because we all love barrage fests, massive specs and wearing our best gear without fear of losing copious amounts of GP's.

- Training; I won't go into too much detail about this, as Combat Skill of The Week is being released today and also because I'm the greenest WG, but a we did discuss various ways we could get everyone training and up WG's average.

It became evident from a few high ranking members that a lot of the things we brought up are "being discussed". A phrase we lower members hear a lot. So Lefty2802 (whom despite the lack of the mic was making a great contribution) came up with the idea of a monthly, or bi-monthly report in which the council make a post about what is "being discussed" and give us a chance for some feedback. Of course we are aware about security, but some topics could and possibly should be open to debate.

Thanks to everyone that came and joined in smile.gif

Liam,

I'm the cheekiest Trial ever, in order to get the event count I host my own events, in which I don't have to do any work.

High fives

Wow Liam, very impressive recap. It's nice your taking on a weekly event to host too. I'll try to make these. I'm sure if you can't get on someone will host for you too.

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.

is the day you have stopped leading them.
They have either lost confidence that you can help them
or concluded that you do not care.
Either case is a failure of leadership.”
