Hi all,
thanks for reading.

Iv'e had a hard time filtering some of the posts here, is it a suggestion? a rant, or a compliment? One moment I would like to read the suggestions, and the next I might feel like reading rants, but when I get on here, and I see all kinds of posts. and reading 4 posts till you actualy find what you are looking for.

So do yo think it would be smarter to split this part into 3 sub-forums, making this.

Suggestions, Compliments, and Rants
Offer suggestions for improvement here. Stay polite in your rants, don't forget to compliment worthy people from time to time.
Sub-Forums: Suggestion - Compliments - rants

OR

Put in an option where you have to click (when trying to make a new post) 1 of 3 options. Is it a Rant, compliment or suggestion? and it automaticly places it in the Topic description. (cuz lots of people tend to forget that)

Then you can see the moment enter what type the post is.

This way it's not only easy for members to acces a single type of posts, but also for leaders to see how people think about something, or even to quickly look at what people want to see improved.

Just a thought.
Any comments?

Otherwise, I think the forums are hawt! wub.gif

oh forgot something.

when i see all the posts, i cant see from the title what you are trying to do. Good titles are something like.

I love...
or I think this could change...
I hate...

then make a valid post about it.
Also not allot of people use the topic description. use em plox.

mellow.gif I'm not sure I even understand what your going on about on this?? You need to clear up your ideas to be more understandable.

It seems like your wanting to change the forum to have separate areas or something.

But a lot of times posts in here have all three parts in one thread.

Edit: Never mind I reread it again and it seems more clear. Thanks

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.

is the day you have stopped leading them.
They have either lost confidence that you can help them
or concluded that you do not care.
Either case is a failure of leadership.”

To clear it up, I'm asking this.

I think its easyer to navigate through this section of the furums (I'm talking about the Suggestions, Compliments, and Rants one, should they be split in 3 seperate parts, A bit like how the events and recaps are split, or the war and recaps.

So we would still have Suggestions, Compliments, and Rants.

But when you click it, you get to pick 1 of the 3. making it so easy to filter the rants from the suggestions.

As they seem so alike.

I think its stupid that people have to post something like this.

("This is not a rant, But I hate...", "So can't we change this... into that...") -- turns from rant into suggestion, giving out mixed messages.

Rants can go about anything... not only about forums, but about Runescape itself, faulty software, laggy computers... etc.

But if we keep posting them all under the same forums, I think (maybe its just me) that its hard to tell the diff. when someone is ranting about.. lets say a war we lost, or is he suggestiong something on how to to make it better (eg. more practice, better guides).

In real its mostly like this... they start ranting... then move to a suggestion... well I want to see it split. got a rant? ok, rant about it, vent your frustration. After you done that, move it to the suggestion forum on how to make it better.
But don't mix it up all the time.

Like I said, this is how I think about it.

We did this when the forums were created and then Elias deleted them when he came back for good reason.
So although it may be a good idea at times, I don't see it happening neko2.gif

I would agree but, I think that the rants and compliments forums would be very inactive.

It was tried (in a different form) in my council days, and it didn't work very well.

As with H&G, by having sub forums there is always the risk of missing new posts by having them divded.
