What Do YOU Want?

By Nick on 01/03/2009
I have now seen 3 leaving posts from people who are great members within WG, and it seems like their reasons for leaving are very much alike; our PvP isn't up to their standards.

So this had me thinking of what do the people of WG want. Where do you want us to go? What is your goal? What do YOU want?

This can be anything from more skilling events, to an increased and enforced attendance, to bigger raids, to a new training programme.

A good way to make sure that you idea is fail-proof is to know that I am more than likely going to ask "Why do you want this and how is this going to make WG better?" Be able to answer that, or answer that in what you want.

I am just curious. biggrin.gif

105+ reqs. GEt more people to come to PvP wars/PKRI's (don't know how). And find a way to appease skillers and still get them to come to wars and such.

As I said:

Why do you want this? How do you think this is going to improve WG?

Hopefully that will give you enough to expand more on your thoughts.

What do I want? People to stop following each other out the door to try and prove their point.

more p2p

A good p2p raid today for gmt raid would be good. biggrin.gif

^ +1

I would also love that, and would love for them to see that now isn't the time to jump ship because one person is leaving for a similar reason.

Why do you want more P2P? Do you think it is going to bring WG back to the sense of old-school? What do you think we can do to try to make that change? If it is P2P, would you be willing to lose stuff in PvP too?

Come on! Everyone start expanding more on your answers! I am trying to ask questions to get you to think what you say out more so you can give a better and more thorough reply.

105+: Get us better levels for wars.

More people to PvP events: obvious neko2.gif

Appease Skillers: Cause they still cool (Especially Rachy <3333333333333)

Yes I'm completely open to losing stuff in p2p pvp worlds. I pk solo all the time sometimes in wild even though I know I'll get owned by myself. As for why I want p2p...I just personally think it's more fun. I do like the idea of the megaraid and I think anyone active on rs or in the irc should be made mandatory to come or else you get a warn, because in my opinion, yes skilling is good, but let's be honest if anything brings a clan together more than anything else it's warring and raids.

Shouldn't get ideas like that mate, I had my own private plans for over 3 months, Lee and Billy decided together, Rob alone as well

My leaving was never really to prove a point, Sad to see you and others think that all of our leavings are because of that.

To add to the subject:

I'd say PvP would be good for WG but not many would like it, so instead of that just add a little more PvP and don't wait until the summer for a skill war, get it now, make both sides feel happy.

I think Personally there looking to have Fun Pking by joining an F2P powerhouse and pk and burn through rune sets all night long.

For WG i guess i would kinda like WG to be more of a PVP Powerhouse too however I also know that this is not what WG has always been about i believed WG was always about the good community we have and i think we do have an absolute epic community in WG atm. I just think some people are more orientated and want big fights and WG to be able to fight like DF were as other people want to skill or do there own thing and are not bothered about being an F2P powerhouse i think we need to come to some sort of compromise or something i am not really sure. But i do not think WG will turn into a clan which pulls 300 opts of lvl 120s who return all night long.

I think we should keep the regular level requirement but have a training program. Also we should try and work in some skilling events because we can't be purely PVP. Also for people to quit leaving because of a "rough patch". Every clan has a few problems

Sort your tertiaries out then. It wouldnt cause shit like this

I have been thinking about it for ages, and last nights adventure, just tipped me over. So stop trying to lay the blame elsewhere. //rant.

Just to say, all of the points mentioned here will be looked at and discussed at tonight's Council meeting - Please keep posting your points!

Here's my two cents:

I think WG needs to decide on to cater to the skillers or the pvp people more and get it over with and move on after sorting through the pros and cons of both because obviously we can't cater to both equally.

Feedback is appreciated by all of the leaders, so keep it coming.

Personally, I want some people to start pulling their weight instead of the pissy excuses we get for not attending certain events, why, because I hate seeing good members leaving because things certain aspects aren't good as they SHOULD be.

By Dieyou2000 on 01/03/2009
I just find it a bit funny that the first week we re-implemented scheduled raids, none of them were held. American raid was cancelled to do AC vs VR which fine I can understand. Aussie raid was cancelled (since there is no recap up I'm assuming) for reasons I don't know since it is 3 am for me, and now gmt raid is cancelled because of...the council meeting?

The thing is even if we had held any of these raids we wouldn't have gotten more than 10 or 15 people, considering by the end of our allied fight against VR we had something like 10 members there.

All I'm doing right now on RS is ranging til 99 for pvp this summer, so I'm not going to make decisions now, but I will say that if by the time I'm 99 if I haven't seen improvement I will be leaving for a more pvp focused clan. Maybe that will just never happen in WG, I don't know I've only been here for maybe half a year.

Separate requirements for warriors and skillers and WARS in single combat zones. Multi-combat wars are just retardedly senile. "Look we got a bunch of people and we're going to smack you until you die lawl." Absolutely retarded. wink.gif

I HATE multi-combat wars passionately, but single-combat wars would be a huge priority for me to attend because they show skill and ability. You can't rely on 50 other people to help you kill your target it's just you and them and if you get a kill you've damn well earned it. There's a sense of accomplishment in it that two gangs of caveman thwacking each other with clubs just can't match.

Lol Wayne...I love the image of 2 gangs of cavemen "thwacking each other with clubs". Can cavegirls get in on it? wub.gif

No point in 1v1 wars....nobody would win :|

wub.gif I just want peace. I want to sign in IRC and love all my friends with a hello. To have great talks with the epic members of WG, to help the new members feel welcome and to get to know everyone.

I want to sign on the forum and read the pm that my friends send me with their troubles and be able to help them sort it out.

I want to do my 100 days of training my combat without eck13.gif people talking about me behind my back. Saying things that is non of their business and just causing more drama.

I want to hold challenges and events and feel like part of the clan. I want to buy stuff for people at GE, loan my equipment to those that need it, encourage others to achieve their goals, attend events, skill wars and congratulate everyone when they succeed.

That is what I really want from the clan. Just to be able to love you guys. wub.gif

By txtawkin on 02/03/2009
Rachel you are without a doubt the nicest person I've met on here.

Don't ever change. wub.gif

By Winddancir on 02/03/2009
I'll admit, I haven't been logging on to rs as much in the past few days. I'm either talking on irc in different channels, or I'm afk, or I just don't want to go to yet another pvp type event that will last more than 1 hr. I don't have any real goal beyond 85 slayer, yet even that goal is boring to me. I don't have the funds or much want to get higher ranks in herblore. I won't quit, because I don't have anything else to do with my time.

And if you're complaining about the attendance to raids/wars, compare it to most skill/community events.
