P2P PvP: The Reality

By Randy on 28/03/2009
Well, today at our P2P ARPK trip, I realized people were upset because dieing results in a semi-big loss. But the reality is, after the raid/war, if you do the 26k trick, you will make your money back if not gain the majority of the time.

People keep saying they like F2P better because it's less of a loss. That's not true. Actually, you will MAKE money in P2P, regardless if you die.

So yeah. Don't be afraid of P2P. It's harder, yes, but the more we practice the better we will get.

I like P2P to be honest, but its just frustrating because binding/freezing spells last too long, making it impossible to ever get away. Once you are caught in multi, its almost impossible to get out.

Still, P2P is fun. WG just needs to continue to grow, and our raids will be more successful.

D'hide top - 5k?
Rune legs - 40k?
Neitiznot helm - 50k?
Granite shield - 35k?
Glory - 40k
Rune gloves - 5k
Climbing boots - 1k
dds - 25k

All this = 201k + you protect your whip.

F2P
Full rune with kite + scimmy = 210k?
Power ammy - 3k
Bind runes - 10k?
Bind set - 5k?

so in THEORY a simple P2P set is less than losing an f2p war set, yes?

However i do believe there's nothing wrong with a good bit of RC'ing or GWD after a war to get your losses back, then again try that 26k thingy-mabob.

We'll only get better in P2P in time, and it's really not that much of a financial lose compared to F2P. Just make money in whatever way you can and set some aside for raid gear.

Even then, if money is an issue, you can swap a glory for a power ammy or legs for black chaps.

Its really not that expensive, and the rewards are much greater. I dont know what everyones worried about blush.gif

I take 500-3m worth of gear when i p2p Pk and i ALWAYS end up in profit.

It's Simple ALWAYS BRING HIDES and a Bow yes u lose 2-3 brews but if someone whips out Ice barrage, there fucked if you whip ur range gear on and start hitting them.

If ur maging bring melee hybrid. If ur ranging bring Mage/melee hybrid.

If ur meleeing, bring range hybrid.

The Key for multi pkin is not to be stuck with 1 style cos if ur agaisnt a Hybrid they can Fuck you over.

If anyone wants to know what set up's to use im more than happy to show em some Cheap set up's that work awsome.

But at the end of the day p2p>f2p and it gains you MUCH more money when u get a kill.

The only problem is this topic only preaches to the choir, every raid is virtually the same people depending on timezone.

I just waste tons of money soloing in p2p pvp anyway but then I get a kill and it's usually pretty epic. So yeah...p2p ftw!

I like F2P more, because it isn't filled with people who constantly pray, farcast etc as much as P2P. And if you seen my 26k luck lately, you wouldn't say I could make back my losses with that hashdown.gif.png
