Ultimate Music

By His Lordship on 17/03/2008
I'm really sorry to be so selfish and abuse my powers...
But I have never been so excited in my whole life.

I just used Audacity to fine-tune my symphony.
And MY God!

This is Opus 1.
Before this, Eugene Marshall never existed as a composer.
Nothing yet has been worthy of historic remembrance.

For the first time ever, I feel like I can really make it as a Hollywood music writer.
I got zero replies to my last topic so I'm hoping for a few more this time.

It's 10mb.
I have never felt so excited in my life so far.

Will tell you what I think lordy. I have no doubt it will be good.

By Pyroclastic0 on 17/03/2008
wtf is that?
sounds like background porno music to me

By Papatewiki on 17/03/2008
Lordy... This sounds vaugely familiar... Hidden Kingdom 3?

And yes, I do listen to your peices ^.^

By Ansatsublade on 17/03/2008
WOW!!
Awsome stuff lord!

Keep it up and you WILL make it man!

Edit:
After listening past 4min.

I'ts still great smile.gif
and I'll stay with the first word I said... WOW.

By Pseudomage0 on 17/03/2008
Its beautiful Lordy, you can make it big

By Papatewiki on 17/03/2008
Nevermind I take that back, I can see you built off it. Well done Lordy, I am still listening and I am being more and more impressed as the music goes on.

By His Lordship on 17/03/2008
Ansatsublade and Pseudomage0, the piece is 11 minutes long and this topic is 5 minutes old.

By JC on 17/03/2008
Thats pretty awesome biggrin.gif

How many hours would you have put into that peice lordy?

--Edit-- I should add that I got 6 mins through it, then decided to Rate it..... Bastards re-directed me sad.gif I will listen to the rest tommorow (its 12.21)

By Papatewiki on 17/03/2008
You know Lordy, you shouldn't waste your time posting it here for us simplefolk, you know we will all praise it even if it sucked, which of course it doesn't (If I didn't like Hidden Kingdom 3 I wouldn't have even begun listening to this one)

You should really take this somewhere Lordy.

EDIT:

And what you posted to pseudo and anat, if you try to aim it at me, mine is at 5:02 and im listening and thinking at the same time. Not the best thing to do when absorbing a new peice tbh. But I like to say stuff as it comes to mind.

By Papatewiki on 17/03/2008
What did you have in mind for the peice when the transition happened around 7:58, and again a little at 8:18? If you don't mind me asking.

By Ansatsublade on 17/03/2008
Don't worry lord... I think the first 4min where great... (and still listnening) I will post further comment on it...
I'm not done yet...

By His Lordship on 17/03/2008
7:58 is the end of the first climactic moment in the music.
It's a period of calm. When the piano comes in at 8:18, it's sunrise.

Im sorry I had to ask, im not as musically inclined as some people xD

Making a picture out of a peice is hard for me. But that does make sense. Im just too dumb to notice xD
^ Simplefolk.

I listened to it all. I don't have much to say, cause im sure I can't describe it well. But I liked the ending, honestly thought when you brought back the beginning bit (around 1:00) louder and more vibrant (with others in the foreground) it was the ending (Around 10:28), but it did go on.

Nice peice lordy. I hope it's going on the front page for all to hear.

By Ansatsublade on 17/03/2008
I realy like the building up at 1:38
and at 3:41- 4:00 it gets so calm.. is it the silence before the storm?
or did you you have something else in mind there?

By His Lordship on 17/03/2008
Oh, the whole bit from 3:41 onwards is softish.
It's a moment of relaxation before I throw the audience into an epic chase around half way through the work.

By David on 17/03/2008
Very nice. I've listened to it a few times already, trying to really get at the heart of the music. I could make some comments now, but I think they'd be premature.

By Squelchyfish on 17/03/2008
Lol so much for the 100% no tolerance on power abuse and faveroutism ect. Go ban yourself sad.gif

Loading now:/

I listened to you last one and the one before that >_ <

By rachellove9 on 17/03/2008
I love it Music is so emotional and that piece is touching I'd love that on my ipod tbh Thanks for sharing it with us Wow and you carried it all the way to the end with suspense

By Quikdrawjoe on 17/03/2008
Intense, reminds me of the music in an emotionally charged scene in a movie , where women are dabbing their eyes.

By Mickey on 17/03/2008
Lordy,Imust say. It's a master peice, apart from one bit where it gets realy loud and it doesn'tsound right. GJ Lordy, it was amaizing apart from that.

^^I thought you hated America laugh.gif

Anyways...

Brilliant. Love it.

6:00-8:00 = pure genius.

Great F horn parts and decent percussion parts. If you have those two things you can automatically make epic music for epic movies.

10:15 to the end sent chills down my spine.

The dissonant notes thrown in add a bit of flavor.

The strings flow very nicely and I'd love to hear a recording of an actual orchestra play this piece.

I'll add more if I think of stuff..

By George on 17/03/2008
Well.. I have heard this piece 7 times now.
From start to finish
It STILL amazes me, I don't know why, I just love the tune, beginning is my fave though smile.gif

I like the new twinkley sound you have put in near the beginning instead of the shakey noise thing.

OMFG THE MIDDLE SCARES ME sad.gif
It's powerful!!

Ooh loving the end, amazing.

Overall amazing, so good I just hit the play button from the beginning again!!

By DZ on 17/03/2008
It sounds like something from really old SNES games, like a Final Fantasy or Chrono Trigger even.

I liked it.

By Firelion08 on 17/03/2008
I've heard several of your pieces before, but none them as captivating to me as this one. It was excellent.

At some points, the sound is somewhat reminiscent to that of The Legend of Zelda, Runescape, and (in some areas) Metal Gear Solid.

sound like it should be on a rpg game.
sound soothing to the ears.

By Karlfischer on 17/03/2008
Your artistic ability far exceeds your medium.

By Spicy63 on 18/03/2008
The part I found most interesting was the climax at 5:30, how it was building up to the most exciting part.

That bit of of it in the background at 5:30 felt as if I was walking and someone was following me.

I really enjoyed it, at the start it seemed a bit dull, the notes spaced to far apart but it built up into something great.

By Gibble00 on 18/03/2008
And the Academy Award goes to ...

...

Eugene Marshall! *cheers and applause ensue*

...

"**** man, I played runescape with that dude!"
"Room what?"

Join me in Hollywood this summer, we'll make movies.

Lordy, you're freaking amazing. Why aren't you making money for this yet?

Can we download it anywhere? Can we pay you for it anywhere?

We = got your back on this 100%

By Kwaichi on 18/03/2008

By Parth23 Jani on 18/03/2008
A bit too slow in places - ruined it for me.

Some parts are pretty good though.

By Yougunn1 on 18/03/2008

By Dorcha3377 on 21/03/2008
It sounded...Hopeful, wistful and peaceful.

It definately would fit a fantasy type, medieval movie. It made me smile.

Thank you for the moment!

By Xena1168 on 21/03/2008
Sigh for some reason I can't open it on my comp so I have to use Firelion's...I will get back to you when I do.

By Xena1168 on 21/03/2008
intro.gif OMG OMG OMG intro.gif

You see where I am going with this right?

I am not a musician per se, but I enjoy concerto and I closed my eyes while listening to your piece and I can tell you that I had envisioned this music being played like....THE SWAN, THE NUTCRACKER, and even some THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. The music did not slow down in tempo ( correct me if I am wrong here okay...I don't know the words to describe the music so I will try the best I can) Like I said, each changes in the piece had its own story and it built up in suspense, I love the piano piece almost at the end. Your ending was fantastic, it didn't ring the highest crescendo and it works great that way because it made you want to listen to more.

YOU DID A FANTASTIC JOB OF THIS PIECE GENE. I WANT TO HEAR THE OTHER ONES TOO, I HOPE YOU DON'T MIND.

By Starzhine on 21/03/2008
Wonderful, you should never play RS again and devote yourself to this wonderful gift you have.

I love the use of the diminished chord and how the whole piece evolves. It is beautiful. I love it. Well well well done!
