Combined cup trials

Ok so we need 20 people to participate in this cup. As we know its held in the stealing creation arena. We are also going to need around 5 reserves in case people are not able to make it. I think we are looking for around 12 skillers and 8 fighters. Also ideally i would like atleast 2 of those fighter to be able to barrage. I will be figuring out a time and date depending on when our first fight is to host a trial so we can see how our team performs.

Please post here if you would be interested in participating. Also i think in order to keep it fair if you are already a member of the skilling cup team then your going to have to sit this one out sorry guys. I will be choosing the best people for the team not just necessarily the high combat level guys but also those with high skills as its mainly going to be about skilling to win we just need some people to protect those whilst they skill.

I don't think totally excluding the people participating in the Skilling Cup is the best idea, although somewhat fair.
We'd need the people with the best skills participating in this game. I know it'd be a bit odd to have the same 10 people in the Combined Cup as in the Skilling Cup, but if they've got 99 in all the collecting skills...it makes sense to have them there.
In any case, I don't have the best skills in the game nor am I fit for the fighting aspect...but I do love this game! Haha.

I'd say a good way to find the best people is to pit all the contenders against each other. Like if we get 30 people trying out, split them into two teams of 15 and then monitor them.

Exactly my point.
We really NEED some (if not all) of the people in the Skilling Cup on the Skilling side of this cup.
We need to make sure to have access to as many resources as possible.
So people with multiple 99 Stats in the skills that are required, or at least 80s are obviously going to be more useful in terms of resource gathering. If we send in people that have high hunter but not mining, woodcutting or fishing, and we get a map with few swams, that person becomes fairly useless.
Likewise, we should give people with 80+ Smithing a VERY high priority to provide armor for the fighters - the best armor.
As superficial as it may sound, people with high stats are far more useful on the Skilling side for this game, as it's all about skills for the collecting/creating part. The fighters we can do tests for, and I think the Raid Leaders would be able to identify the key people we should send in as they're more familiar with what makes a good fighter.

Seriously, you're holding trials with a week left before the round is over. Does this seem like a very intelligent idea to you?
Also, you're excluding some of the people who would be some of the best people for it anyway.

get the best people for the job, if they suck at skilling, then dun let them, i can honestly say i am a decent skiller but i know there are a gagillion people better fit for the job.

You have like no time at all to organise this....
I recommend that you pick all the people, don't exclude the skilling cup people and pm them inviting them to join the team.

Even if I'm on the skill team, I can help out, particularly with combat.
The only skills that I can get level 5 clay in are Fishing and soon to be WC, so there is little I can do as a skiller in SC, but I pown narbs.
