For tomorrow the first 4 and maybe the last 2 will be banned.

(Pkers don't know if you actually did abuse the glitch, but I saw you on PVP worlds while we were)

What is it that you did "exactly"? I can tell you if you will be up for being banned. Explain the process and what happened. A lot of the things people say you will be banned for are not actually rule-breaking offenses.
I had a long discussion with one of my JMod friends about something and they went through the process in which they term "glitches". There are several kinds of glitches which aren't rule-breaking.

So last night the news of a new glitch spread like wildfire through clan communities. I am making this post to explain to those that were not on to hear about it, how it worked and what it was.
Do know that this is NOW FIXED. You cannot do this anymore.
In order to do it you would go to P2P and summon your best Beast of Burden familiar. At that point, you would fill the familiar up with the highest amount of items that you possibly could, and then log out and go to F2P. In F2P you would have your partner and both of y'all would have a rune weapon of your choice. At that point you 1-item each other while having protect item on. The result is a rune kill almost 95% of the kills.
How this worked, is the GP value that the familiar was basically increasing your potential by massive amounts and it made you look like you were "losing" that much when you died. For example, I had 800k in my War Tortoise, so every time I died the game thought I was losing 800k. This made my friend's kill that much better, to the point of a rune kill. You would keep going on, banking if you needed to, and kill each other.
After that, it was said that you gained P2P potential too, so you would go to P2P and do quick 26ks to use up that potential.
Hopefully that explains it to everyone. Yet again - this is fixed. I do not know if any bans are being handed out in the near future, but no one that I have talked to has been banned yet.
EDIT: This has one large effect on the clan community however. Now in F2P, if you die, everything in your familiar is lost. This means that there is no real use in having familiars when going to PKRI's as all of your items will be lost.

Yeah, I would say that will get you banned. However, consider how Jagex would track you abusing that. In most cases, they catch people abusing glitches from someone reporting the account, the account having it's last 1 minute of activity sent in (I think it really takes a larger snapshot), a person reviewing it for any suspicious activity, etc.
Did someone report you? Did someone report "all" of you in that 60 second window? It is unlikely all of you will be banned even if they did review it. Did you post about it in a public place in which Jagex likely has people monitoring what is posted?
In the future, don't abuse something which could give you an unfair advantage in which the game wasn't intended. If you go and say that you were just curious if something worked, but didn't intend to do it further - you might be able to have a successful appeal depending on which "Zone" your account is in.

It's not that they got reported. Jagex has pking logs, and sees the people that died with familars in F2P.... they look at the familiars with massive amounts of cash, if the person reported the bug or not, and fhow many times they did it. For example:
Someone that did it with 200k, did it once, and reported it as a bug after has a very high (I'd stake 20M on it) that they don't get banned. They were trying it out.
Someone that did it with 800k, did it 10 times, and didn't report it as a bug, then went to p2p and cashed it all in.... they don't have too much hope. One of my mates is likely to get banned.
Right now I'm kinda happy to be an oblivious one. I didn't do anything remotly like that, and I only recently found out about it. I'ma still be here
I hope that rot and vr lose so many members that they disband, and are forever GONE.

They have the capacity to get logs, but think about the volume that they would need to keep up with. Honestly, unless someone reported you or they had already had reason to monitor your account, you are probably fine - just don't continue to try and abuse something with the game which could be used to make your account prosper that is obviously not a valid game feature meant to be used by the masses.
