My Two Weeks Notice

What can I say. It's been a hell of an eight months as council. I've had more fun than I have and will ever have on the internet. I've had so many good times and experienced so many things that will stick with me for the rest of my life. I'm not leaving the clan, but I feel as if I can no longer hold my weight as a council member.

I used to have a ridiculous amount of free time to spend on WG and play scape all day. My life has changed in the past few months. I've made and lost friends, got busy with activities, and am preparing for college and the like. Yes, (insert WG inactive joke here). Regardless of how active I am now, I'm leaving for overnight camp where I'll be a counselor in June, meaning very very little computer time and no scape.

Before I go, I'll be hosting the next council elections as well as finishing off any projects I may have left incomplete. Unlike others (lol), I'm still going to fufill my duties before my two weeks ends. I'll be requesting elite until June and then emeritus until August, as I MAY be coming back, depending on the updates and my free time.

I owe so many people for helping me even get to where I am and even more for helping me maintain it. I would first like to thank 1colonel1 and Theevildead2 for preparing me for council and giving me advice and tips. I would not be where I am without you guys. Next, I'd like to thank the Abs for basically being my mentor and teaching me everything I have to know. And then the council and past, Dale, Mugger, Glenn, Anat and George for all making the time worthwhile. And of course, Gene for giving me the opportunity and showing me what it means to be a leader. A lot of your work gets hidden behind the doors of level 4, but WG would be nothing without you. The biggest thank you goes to the members of WG for making the clan what it is today. Trust me, you will remember the friendships you've made here for the rest of your lives. You might not of realized it yet, but WG will stick with you forever.

If there was one thing I learned from my whole WG experience it would have to be that nothing is impossible. I joined WG not knowing anyone and 14 months later I feel like I've know you all my whole life. I strongly encourage ANYONE thinking about going for a leadership position to continue their goals and work hard, it's worth every second and you'll have more fun than ever before.

Well Randy... what can I say, we have talked about this and you know what I think about this.
I understand that you have too much to do irl and you have to focus on that atm, so I completely understand.
I'm going to be sad to see you go, to not be able to see you as red and talk to you about council stuff.... you were really great to me when I just became a council member- so thanks SO much for that mate, i'll never forget your helpful and kind nature.

Anyways, I'm happy you're still staying WG, even if you are going inactive. As a council member I really look up to you for the simple fact that I know you really do care about WG, even when you're angry or disappointed with someone/group. I enjoyed being led by and raiding with you .

Randy, you have been such a great person to be around. The ideal member, leader, friend. The things that you have done for this clan are unforgettable. So much time and effort put in. I'm glad to have been around in your time.

Randy, it has been a real pleasure to work with you, and the most relieving thing is knowing you'll still be around.

Ah Randy, it's going to be hard to see a group of Council without you, but I'm glad you're going go about business as normal for your last two weeks here as Council.

On a serious note.

Wg will truly have suffered a heavy loss with you leaving + stepping down from council. With you gone, wg will look for a new leader, except none will fill the massive hole that you leave. As WG commences on this new chapter in time, I hope they remember all time and effort spent by yourself on working towards a successful clan, one which upholds the honourable arpk-ing code. The time spent + dedication that you gave this clan is truly a remarkable feat.

Sometimes I ask myself, how will wg still be a great + successful clan without Randy there to steer the ship through the rough seas of the clan world? And the answer is simple. It will never truly be the same, not now, not ever. The time for celebration is over, the time for sadness is upon us. However in our sadness, we should also celebrate the great man Randy has become. Without his leadership, I'm sure many of us would not have had such an easy journey through the clan world.

However, as I sit here saddened by the fact that such a great leader is stepping down, I also think of the many times where you personally guided me in my WG journey, and for that, I thank you deeply. I would have not enjoyed my time here in WG without you as a leader.

As you step down from such an honourable and great position, I would hope that you have grown and learnt many things in your time as council. I hope the time as leadership was not all a waste, which you feel was unappreciated. Because I can tell you that we do appreciate all the hard work + effort that you put in, and words simply cannot do it justice in this time of your passing.

From your leadership, I take away many great memories. I hope our friendship will remain strong even after you're stepping down from council, because I value the times that I spent with you, within the WG community. It was some of the best time I have spent with friends in WG, and it is embedded in my memory as one of the most enjoyable experiences of all time. Runescape will simply not be the same without you here to guide me through it.

On a final note, I hope those that fill your shoes realise what big shoes they are! I'm not even sure that 1 man alone can fill those. The work, time and effort spent by you personally making WG a better place is simply massive, to say the least. Even massive is not the correct word, and I'm not even sure there is words to describe what I mean.
