PVP Event Ideas
By Big Al 002 on 21/04/2009
It has come to my attention that a lot of people don't/can't attend raids. One of the things I enjoy most in this game is playing Clan Wars, especially wars with other clans. It is good practice, a great way to grab interest and boost event attendance. Clan Wars is one of the biggest reasons people join clans, and I think it would be a great idea to host it like the raids (1 mega war that's challenging) and like two smaller ones where we are evened out. It would also speed up graduation.
Another idea is we can find an empty Castle Wars world and go against each other. If we can get 14 (7 on each side) it can be tons of fun.
By Jayson on 21/04/2009
clan wars is shit. it takes ages to organise decent clans to fight
By Olivier1o1 on 21/04/2009
I agree with Jadi. It's no fun, pointless.
What might be a lot more interesting is clan pking in a town or city, like Ardy (I KNOW that it's single, could still be fun)
By Quikdrawjoe on 21/04/2009
Clan Wars - random clans you fight will hide in single the whole time
Castle Wars - three pros can change the whole game.
By Eregion2 on 21/04/2009
Castle Wars is old news. I'll come if we go to Soul Wars, that's fun.
By Chimpy on 21/04/2009
I LOVE CWA. Especially pkri's on turrets map. But PvP will move the clan forward not CWA. But I do agree, sometime might be fun to get like 20 WG and rape those teams with 100 people on W141

.
And yaya Soul Wars is fun
By Big Al 002 on 21/04/2009
lulz i didnt mean clan wars against random ppl, although thats fun..soul wars is also fun
i meant organizing fun fights against other clans in cwa
By For Sooth on 21/04/2009
Do you mean Clan Wars or Castle Wars? Cuz Cwa = Clan Wars CW = Castle wars.
By sgtswordfish on 21/04/2009
i say clan wars.except we limit ourselves to certain terrains and actually fight with strategy
By Big Al 002 on 21/04/2009
oh my bad i meant clan wars
the other suggestion was castle wars against each other
By Kyle on 21/04/2009
PvP will get us more attention, not CWA.
By chip54321 on 21/04/2009
I'm a big fan of PvP and I really hope we can get more of it going. Before, we used to just mass for CWA events and go to the worlds to challenge clans. Perhaps we could do that with the free for all portal?
By ArSeNaLfAn32 on 22/04/2009
We do CWA sometimes. However, life for me is "better" without doing CWA. I personally can't stand CWA. I would sometimes rather not war than war there. Its boring, we've done it 10000000000000 times, and its unrealistic to warring realities. (AKA you can have all this great gear that you aren't afraid to lose)
By Starzhine on 22/04/2009
We used to have lot of fun in "Castle Wars" especially when other clans joined it. We would bash each other and it was a safe way to practice all fighting skills including tanking.

Jadi: we can use the rsb ladder rankings on the official runescape boards. Its less competitive than RAW and more fast paced but it can get us some publicity, members
Star: that's hecka cool we should start doing that as well as for soul wars.
And to everyone else: don't you get bored of just doing pk trips? It gets boring, and there's so much more PvP things to do.

both are crap for recruiting
if we want to get members, we need wars in pvp and win them
By Big Al 002 on 22/04/2009
the main idea here is to boost activity
By rachellove9 on 22/04/2009
I nulled my vote. I would like more CWA events.
Raiding seems to be harder to find everyone if you have already left and the confusion of what to take and stuff. Hopefully ts is worked out now cause that was an issue for me.
If I am on, I will come to events. This week is rough cause of death in my family.

we wont boost activity by hosting more CWA fights.
1. Raid Leaders would pretty much be talking to other clans all the time they are online just to organise fights, most of which will have to be short prep and we will STILL only get 2 wars max a weekend.
we should worry about kicking inactive people instead of giving them all these extra chances, if someone skips a week prep + war should be auto ban, short prep war should be suspension and 60 or 80% warn.
and people need to get to events not just PVP ones like you say. Non-Pvp events can be twice as fun as raids n pkris with no risk of losing money.
By Back to Own on 22/04/2009
Glenn has been pretty adamant on returning to the CWA era
By txtawkin on 22/04/2009
I personally like pvp events, especially organized PKRIs and definitely CWA with other challenging clans. I also like the fun pvp type events like the VIP one that I missed a few days ago...
I think the idea of fighting against each other in a deserted CW world sounds fun too and I looooove fight pits.

..so you think the way for us to grow is to kick inactives and punish the ones who cant/dont attend?
im a former clan leader myself and that doesnt work out well, im positive

kicking inactives means we grow since we dont pull only 50% to wars.
and yes, people should be punished for choosing not to go to wars, if they are online.
And your an ex-clan leader? of which clan? i doubt it was any good if you didnt kick inactives or punish those who choose not to attend events.
By Big Al 002 on 23/04/2009
i did kick inactives, i mean for us now, (WG), our priority shouldn't be to kick inactives..
punishing those who dont attend events leads to chaos..its a better come to event or gtfo system..i dont think thats how we should run. but then again it is up to the leaders and i will leave it here because no clan should force some1 to attend event and no1 has the right or power to
now i understand a mandatory sign up..but i think we should have the freedom to choose what events we like, and we will eventually fall into place, and that way we will get consistency = track to a good clan
By Jayson on 23/04/2009
ok sure
everyone, you dont have to come to events, just sit back and enjoy wg where you talk to people but dont have to come to events. while we are at lets, lets just demote all event leaders and raid leaders, wont be needing them anymore.

=o lolol
By sgtswordfish on 23/04/2009
sigh..i think big al has a point.
as stated in the irc.
when our memories exceed our dreams its the begining of the end.
our end.
its a phrase that every leader must hold because one thing i did notice on his lordship earlier message was that the leadership was ready but the members weren't. if that is true it goes to show that the leadership has been unable to innitiate incentives for the members to come to their events. if raids don't work its because ur not giving consciousness to your team members. although we would all love for wg to be the number 1 clan we need to work twice as hard.
and this begins with the higher ups. i know its a sacrifice but just because things don't work you can't espect the members to just follow suit. you're chosen leaders of wg. its you who can move us =D
as for clan wars vs pvp..i have to say i'm interested on which event will win this debate

so any1 think any of my ideas could be good weekly events?
By Angus0000 on 04/06/2009
Us playing clan wars is not the answer to our problems. I can understand using it for practice events or occasionally for wars, but it would be fruitless and pointless to play it on a regular basis. A big part of a clan is the idea of mutual protection and trust among its members; something that doesn't matter in Clan Wars and means the world in PvP.
I'd also like to point out how much non-PvP events have been neglected lately. Aside from the weekly ToG and penguin hunting events, which themselves are largely ignored, there really aren't any skilling events happening.
I also don't think more weekly events are the solution to attracting more activity. The ones we have now are ignored and, frankly, quite boring since it's the same thing every week. A little variety would go a long way.

well it could add to events cus recently there has been many events besides the week's usual...
and also no1 can attend those events because most of america or us is in school..its a bad time

GUYS..I THINK THE PROBLEM IS THAT OUR EVENTS MANAGEMENT REALLY IS SLACKING.
. personally i believe its time to develop private sectors that help the administrator with its task to be more at ease until the administration themselves can hire individuals willing to do the work.
i'll design something and present by the weekend.

I don't think he means like sectors we had before, but more like a lil team of members willing to step up and help host events til staff can get through their rl school stuff and things.
Edit add:
I would love to see some random cwa stuff in world 141. It is fun to just go hang out with clan friends and fight random teams. I like when we do CW as a clan too. We don't have to all be on the same team, but it is fun being on ts and laughing together. I don't need it to be realistic, for me it is entirely about having "fun". For some of you who are so serious maybe you need to bring your lower level accounts sometime to not be so serious.

Y so serious?
By Owniemage on 08/06/2009
Some fally pking would be awesome!
But it better be in seperated teams so we don't have the combat problem.
By Littledanish on 30/10/2009
Maybe have practice wars...split into teams and practice for an hour or so, and have more f2p raids and Recruitment rally's?
