Two things I thought were interesting on today's paper:
1) Russell Crowe will be playing Robin Hood in a new movie coming out next year. Since it's directed by Ridley Scott, I suspect we can expect a healthy convolution of Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven (rumor also holds that Crowe will be double-acting also as the Sheriff of Nottingham, which would be a weird but kind of interesting if they pull it off - probably just a rumor though).
2) Some chap named Seth Grahame-Smith took Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice and revised it to include a zombie apocalypse (
Pride & Prejudice & Zombies: The Classic Regency Romance -- Now with Ultraviolent Zombie Mayhem!). 85% of the original novel is untouched, and it's currently no.3 in the New York Times Bestsellers list. I'm going to pick it up, definite kudos for the whole concept.
