What do you bring to WG?

This is a rant of sorts, but I'm posting it here because I can.

Now the way I see it, everyone in the clan should bring something to the clan. If there is an individual who is in it and brings nothing to the table, then all they are doing is sucking away valuable resources without offering anything in return.

I think some members don't necessarily understand this. I think that overall some people think that the clan is there to give them what they want, and don't realize that it is a two way street.

So my question is what do you bring to WG?

Some of you might have a hard time answering that, and that's fine. But if you find yourself in that group, in my humble little opinion, you need to figure out what you are going to do different in the future, because if you are on the memberlist for the clan, it is your duty to bring something to the table and make it a better place somehow.


I'm probably just as guilty as some others because I can't claim to be very enthusiastic about events. However, to answer my own question perhaps I could say I'm high leveled, I'm an RSC mod and can help with publicity, and an active participant in forum discussions. That being said I could work to attend more events, I could host some myself, and I could work harder to be enthusiastic about the clan instead of frustrated.


How about you guys?
What do you bring to the clan, and where are you failing that you can step up?

I like to think I bring activity and enthusiasm to the clan, as well as ideas and a good environment. I'm a fun person and can most definitely take a joke so I add to the community that way. I try and host events when I know I'll be able to make them and contribute activity in that way and am currently trying to think of ways to bring some sort of a spark to events.

Also, I'd just like to say this now before anyone else posts:

I don't want to see any sort of flaming going on in this topic. No "WTF you talking about? You're lazy." or "LOL you really think you do all that for WG?" I can see some of that happening easily and I want to say now that it won't be tolerated.

This is a serious topic and should be treated as such.

I like to think that I bring activeness, humor, and new ideas to the table. I am also constantly trying to convince other that Joe is nh, which is a very noble cause!

I constantly flame, insult guests... oh wait you want positives. I flame Tmal all the time and stop people from thinking I'm NH. I'm also one of the highest war attendance (it's broken or I would be higher) I also helped bring back the war badges (George did the menial work)

Pushing event activity, being super active (On Scape/IRC), hosting events occasionally, an active participant in JSC, and humor in IRC would be my top qualities.

My negatives would be that I don't host events as often as I could, I can get angry if I'm having a serious conversation and someone tries to joke around, I'm not good at recruiting, I get very angry when a non-PvP event has low attendance, and I tend not to attend raids unless they are mandatory, or if I'm not too busy.

I could easily host more events and attend more raids, but I'm not to keen of the others.

contribute. I do attend as many events when I can. Oh
wait....I do provide a target for the other team when we
war which saves another more valuable fighter from being
piled?
Lately I seem to be providing interesting commentary for
screenies for signatures.....unfortunately.

Well I guess I contribute mostly with my scripting skills, namely BindBot, which is constantly taking alot of my time; and that other little doo-hickey that has no name.
I am also (Iike to think) decently active, on irc and RS for events. I am also an awesome forum troll. Errr poster.Also a sense of humor, but also complete seriousness and sincerity.

Nothing.

Apart from the 3 opps and activity I've been somewhat quiet, a promise I made to myself not to get overly involved. Being an ex clan leader it's hard to stay away from suggestions but thus far I;ve managed. If input is wanted / required then feel free to ask

I bring activeness in events and enthusiasm into them. Also I post a lot and contribute my thoughts to the community and joke around too. I'm active in IRC and in whenever I'm online. I've made a few steps toward getting people to want to raid more. However I have trouble recruiting and could possibly host some events of my own.

i bring Pking skill/activity and Experience, if theres a pk and im not working im there. ill add more later got work in 5 mins!

I want to bring recruits, events, and activity (promoting activeness in the clan as well as myself in IRC, forums, events, in-game) to the clan.

A cynical attitude, a AFK presence in the IRC, and a wee bit of programming knowledge.

...Right?

This wasn't a pat ourselves on the back topic.
I should have worded it: What AREN'T you bringing to WG that you could or should.

I have the most events attended, i most likely have the most event hosted(atleast in the past couple years). I bring super activity, i push for activity, i push for goals of people to train combat, i push for people to attend events, i push for WG to be a better place. Im a pusher

Although, I'm probably like the worst recruiter ever. I try real hard but have like 0 to none recruits.
