you finally win

By spanthrax on 28/04/2009
ya finally pushed me out here. im sick of being shit on by my clan mates. never thought the leaders would shit on me but aside from gorge wub.gif you have all shit on me and made me feel like i wasnt welcome. not very leader like.

im not gonna go into a long good bye because truth be told nobody would read it anyway so why should i take the time to write one. those of you who i AM friends with, you know who you are and i wont do any shout outs.

guess thats all there is to say. i would like clan friend or i believe at the very least i deserve ex-member rank.

One of the worst things a leader has to deal with is watch everything they've worked for crumble in front of them. Our numbers have weakened, our organization skills have gotten rusty, but most importantly, we've lost many of our greatest friends along the way. We're dealing with a terrible crisis. Its going to take all of our determination, will, and cooperation to pull out of this.

And now, during a period where the survival of WG itself is on the line, we are plagued by people who are inactive. Some are too busy with life. Thats alright. But in a time when a clan needs it's people at most, you would leave it to die. You would leave your friends and clanmates to struggle themselves so we could have a clan for you.

Im going to be honest here. You don't care about WG. You don't give a crap about us. All I've seen you do is sit in the IRC, and huggle every female that enters. Do you honestly wonder why you get crap? Its not the leaders only; people notice. The only person you have to blame is yourself.

This is what I see. I see a undedicated rs-active member that doesnt contribute. I see someone who has the ability to do much more, but doesn't. Don't blame the people who fight hard everyday to keep this clan alive.

You're a great person and I truly wish things could have ended differently.

personally as a non-warrer i get shit on by a lot of individuals, they state that i never go to non-pvp events. this is due to our event leaders holding events at midday when im away at my job irl. and i would gladly come if they were after 5 pm eastern on mon-thurs. but most events simply aren't that late so i cannot attend and ppl ridicule me for it and call me a leach. so i say have more events towards evening est and ill show you vastly improved activity. im doing the best i can here and i would appreciate more respect from my fellow clan mates than i am currently recieving.

BTO I disagree.
I don't get why we have a non-warring list if people such as you or other leaders are going to hold those individuals to standards they didn't agree on.

You all but said flat out in your post that WG needs Spenser to be at wars and PKs right now, but since he doesn't come, he doesn't care about the clan. Well that's bullshit. We have a non warring list, it is an option for the clan. If he has signed up for it, then he should not be criticized for not attending.

Every single fight I've been in IRC for I have seen someone ask Spenser if he is going to war. He shouldn't even have to deal with those questions. He took an option the council offered and that should be the end of the freaking story.

But it's not. People here have double standards.
If you are going to hold not warring against non-warrers, then the list needs to go away.

it seems to me that you only made the non-pvp list to save your own asses, so you could say hey there's this option whilst you just treat anyone on that list like absolute shit in the hopes that nobody would go onto this list.

all this being said i love wg, i just dont like what its become.

Joe he has the same problem I do.
EST events are for the most part at 1-5 pm EST. That seems to be the priority time so that GMT and EST can both attend. Well that's fine and it's good to have some events there, but Span has work, similar to how I have school. It's impossible to attend.

And I agree that a bad attitude does nothing to help the situation, and Spenser's attitude certainly hasn't always been great. But it's a two way street, something he acknowledges. It is bad that the council offers a non PVP list and then takes any sort of an attitude toward him about PVP. If I were in his shoes, I would probably be pissed as well.

It just leads to a slippery slope, regardless of who started it. One side reacts, leading to the other, and then the first, etc. Until the two sides are both discontent and dissatisfied. It is impossible to place the blame fully on either.

Getting to your next point

When we were adding a new rank for this "nonwarring list," you instantly began to vent and complain that you were getting no respect. To keep you happy, we just left you to emeritus.

You were one of the primary reasons for the creation of the pvp list in the first place. Nobody else really fought for it. I think accusing us of making a pvp list to shit on people to make them active is pretty funny actually. ITS A CONSPIRACY.

I believe there are a total of 3 people on the non-warring list. You can ask any of the other 2. I have never been hostile towards them because they don't war. However, they contribute.

By DZ on 28/04/2009
It was good to get to know you Spence, I wish you the best.

By spanthrax on 28/04/2009
i agree i should have reacted differently when you asked me to war. that much i will agree upon.

your next point however im going to have to politely disagree. i was ok with a rank change, however i was not ok with the ones glenn was suggesting for the simple fact that they were cruel and derogatory towards the individuals on the non-pvp list.

as a matter of fact you should thank me. a member recently approached me asking if the non-pvp list was worth going on, i will not say whom this member was, but im sure my response will keep him from asking to join the list.

Although it saddens me allot to see you leaving spenser it's also like a slap in the face to all those people who think of you as a friend every time you make a topic like this.

Goodbye.

By Ragingwealth on 28/04/2009
Probably I'm not in a place to speak about inner WG, but I'll just say this anyway tongue.gif

From what I read from Tmal, some people are having problems attending events because of school/work time conflicts, and in Spanthrax's case he doesn't like wars and still has work which gets him accused of being..well, undedicated.

That can easily be rectified, if you would please read on:

You could always make an IA, a mandatory one, and have people post the times they usually are able to make fights and events at (Such as the old post Randy made in the old warring forums). Get 1-2 events a week in odd times for members of his case and see if they attend or not, it should there dedication and activity.

If it still seems a problem, I recall you're able to host individual events in WG, try hosting on in a good time for yourself? tongue.gif

So to sum it up, stay, try to push for that IA and if it doesn't work then host your own events to prove to everyone you're dedicated. hash.png

Not entirely true at all. Steveypants and myself tried to get some kind of non-warring list going before all that happened to give a better ml for pvp stuff that was going on. I believe Muggers told me that things were fine the way they were. He didn't want a non war list. Then when the mass leaving came only like a day or two later he got on the leaving boat as well. Don't try to blame pvp. It had a lot to do with people who just didn't like that our member list didn't show our true numbers.

The amount of pvp wasn't as much of the problem as the number of people willing to go.

Sorry, this isn't the place to debate that anyway.

Ya ya ya we heard the I can't do nothing cos it's Gmt time etc Bullshit 50 million times. I usually get on with you but lately all you do is moan that events are at a bad time for you.

Consider the aussies, Consider GMT they don't get raids at 1-5pm there time! they get them at 11pm at night brilliant.....

Stop thinking about yourself and think of the whole picture Wg trys to fit EVERYONE in which requires such things, You get a dam Est raid every week thats like 8pm, That's a brilliant time.

Bto was right with what he said.

1. Aaron's post was funny, commenting on the general mood of the topic.
2. I pointed out when the non-warring list came out that any one on it would end up being counted as second class. Why do you think I didn't join it?
3. Even when events were happening during times that you were online, you didn't attend.
4. Cya.

Spenser. We have been friends for a while. I guess things changed somewhere down the road. I think you took me doing my job as council and my friendship and confused them. I liked you as a person, but in no way was I going to let you keep doing what you were doing. You joined the nonwarring list. We promised that you wouldn't get harassment. We were wrong. It ended up being some huge dramatic thing and it sparked fights between everyone. I'm sorry for that I guess, though for your own good it would have been better just to war and fuck it.

You claim that there were no events that you could attend. Bullshit. I'm calling you on your lie. Remember that Stealing Creations event? You spat in my face and threw a hissy fit. You cussed me out because I was making you attend an event that you had signed up for. Why was I an asshole and persistent? I was being that way to prove that you were bullshitting us. You had JUST posted a big rant about how its unfair that you can't attend events because of your timezone. How come I see you ditch even non-pvp events all the time? It wasn't a one time thing and you know it.

I know you're going to hate me for bringing that all up, but I'd rather you hate me and know my thoughts on you than holding them back. I think you in the end did just want to talk to people on IRC. That's fine, that's what I do. However, you refused to give anything of your own. You literally just wanted to chill on IRC, you couldn't even go hang out with the people that you "cared about so much."

All these fights that were started by or against you involved you. It wasn't like you were out there being some angel kid and these bullies came after you.

Ya that is very true Glen. He has had numerous chances to attend events. He simply chose not to take responsibility for his actions and has blamed it on others. It isn't fair to others really. It is true Spense. I have no ill will toward you but those are the facts.

Anyone seen "Knowing"?

I watched it the other night. The concept was fantastic but the ending wasn't all that great. The storyline could have been evolved so much more to play on the idea of "knowing" what's about to happen and pursuing to prevent it. The end of the world came far too fast and what's up with the aliens coming out of nowhere?

I did like the reference to Adam and Eve at the end of the film, where the children are dropped off on a new planet but it's still pretty pointless and ruined the film for me.

Nicolas Cage's performance was fantastic as usual but I, Robot still betters this film. Better luck next time Proyas.

Overall I give this film a 7 out of 10.

It was a bit disturbing for me when the blood splatted from the train wreck and I thought it was harsh to see people burning and on fire. It's rating was a lil to low. I was worried about nightmares.

lololol this is on a goodbye thread.
