Well, Jayson's goodbye post awoke a truth I'd forgotten about.
The need for firmness.
I've been the sort of guy making the sex jokes and relaxing enjoying your company.
WG can't have that any more.
If I've got 5-6 hours a week with WG until my exams are over, those few hours MUST be productive.

A persona change is in order.

The Summary
I am going to be stricter. This does not mean rude and stuck up and evil.
It means being fine with everything that's not interfering with my plans for expansion, and shredding anything that gets in the way.

A few things to note:

1. My attitude is changing. I am going to speak with authority. I am not a friend now. I am your leader and the sort of respect I get is changing from a friendly respect to an authoritative respect.
2. Drama-fests and similar bullshit will be dealt with the easy way - instant suspension.
3. I will not let this change drag down the community. I want it to remain friendly. Being strict does not involve me picking on anyone.
4. I will not be engaging in sex-talk and immaturity. That's now Glenn's job.
5. You may think I'm turning bastard. That is correct. I'm a bastard who leads as well as he can. This is what I was like in '05 and '06 in the great days of WG and that is how I shall be again.

I said before, I have the knowledge required to bring WG out of a slump. There are 56 of us at the time of making this post. 56 minds are better than just mine so I am open to other suggestions. If I turn you down it is because I compared your idea to my own, weighed them both equally, and selected mine because it has more promise. I would select your idea for the same reason.

Please continue to suggest things - I will weight them all up. But you have to understand, with over 5 years of leadership experience behind me, I have tried a lot of various things. Some suggestions DO hurt the clan if they are implemented which is why I have to take extreme care. May I feed my ego for one more sentence... I am the best candidate in WG to judge how successful an idea will be because I have seen the most ideas in action. We are all biased toward our own ideas, even me, so please be understanding if you are turned down. But don't be discouraged. Always be looking out for ideas that may improve WG. You may strike gold, and when that happens, it was worth having all the others turned down.

So yes, I am now stricter and more demanding.
You may refer to me as Mein fuhrer... lol just kidding.

Hmm, sounds good to me. No sex jokes is good; I was sorta ignoring them anyway.

But yeah, I'm actually very glad you're doing this. Also the whole drama-fests thing, thank god somebody said it. I feel like we give people who start trouble too many chances. I also know at least one council applicant who agrees .

Sounds great, I just hope you are not stretching yourself too thin.

Sounds good, the strict leaders make a prosperous clan.

I already told you what I think about council choose in pm.

With that in mind, if you are going one council now then why not go back to forum mods that can also do irc as well. Don't say it is a crap job, cause we are willing to do what we can to help the clan out. I think they could assist in looking up info on applicants too. This position should be appointed. With Randy going to event leader, this may not be needed as much. But it might be worth a try.

This gives council some supportive help and it does not interefere with your growth and developement of WG plan.
