We'll try out another, with Samurai-JM to choose a first 4-letter word to start with. Game starts again once he posts. Cheers

Ever get that hitch that simply defies what its suppose to do and does exactly what its not suppose? oO
"Duce", interesting word of play...its Italian but its accepted in both American Heritage and Merriam within its list of words. I'm not sure if its used in common context of written or spoken English sentences. Perhaps such as the French word "rendezvous" would be that got exercised into the English language although its not? Not that I know of, and its there as....

I'm still trying to think of a word that can be created from panel apart from panels

Technically it's only changing one letter, as only the L gets moved. |
To clarify on the movements, only 1 letter action is allowed and that is: replace or drop or add.
In this case, panel > plane = "l" is dropped and then added in a different location. So, that's 2 moves.
Sorry Steve, its valid when we can move the letters around in a one movement but its valid if only in 1 action. So, Wayne's "panel" is still the last standing word.
Current standing word, Eregion's: PANEL

the words have to come from the 4 dictionaries designated for the game. Good try, "pantel" interesting, I didn't know that, learn something new!
