The end of a journey.

Well, they say all good things must come to and end. And they’re right. But the good things here ended long ago.

When I first discovered WG back in January 2006, it was like the first time you hear the Beatles. Or the first time having sex. Or both at the same time. The website was brand new and it was awe-inspiring. I didn’t meet the newly appointed 100+ combat requirement (I was level 93), but I almost met the woodcutting/fletching requirement, so I trained that instead. As I chopped down willow trees outside of Draynor bank, I would browse the website and listen to the music therein all day long. I had never wanted to be a part of something so badly in my life. WG had near legendary status in my head and when I finally got in, it was like having 1000 orgasms at once. The first 10 months or so were amazing, then D-Day happened and well…WG has never been the same. I still had hope in WG that it would get better, but it slowly deteriorated over time. We have gone from 200+ active, wonderful members down to 55 members, of whom about 20 are even active.

WG is a dying clan. I love this clan and the people in it, but I can’t go on anymore. WG has let me down far too many times. I have no hope left in my body. I’m not a flaky person, as you can tell. I held on for 2 and a half years after D-Day…all in a hope that WG would rise out of the ashes again. And it certainly tried a few times. Take for instance in May 2007, when we defeated SE in a full-out war. But, as is tradition here, mass-leavings happened because of something controversial that Lordy did. And from that point on, there was never much hope left. It’s over though now. WG isn’t the same and it never will be.

I wish this clan luck and I may return to its ranks one day. I will most definitely keep in touch. I’ll always be trollin’ here.

Gene – You’re a really great guy and an inspirational leader. You are very talented in the arts and will go far in life. You have single-handedly created, destroyed, and revived this clan. I’m not sure whether to love you or hate you for it.

Wow, one of the few Goodbyes that I have read in full, also one of the less common ways of entering Wg, but those are the people who last in Wg for a long time. I understand you Colin, I also missed the days we had 200 members, even though it was disorganization, it was fun disorganization =P.

If you're not going Emeritus, that'll be very sad to hear =\, but you have no reason to, then I guess you wouldn't.

Good Luck in your future journeys in Runescape, Colin . Even if you don't keep in touch, we won't forget you.

It will be so strange to not have you here. Who am I going to laugh with about what people think of me. You have always been so encouraging. Even through my council application when most of the clan got mad at me.

Who am I going to send my cash to in the mail???? We both know how much I trust you. You have been a really good member, but an awesome friend is what I will remember you for.
