April promotions & MotM

My first real chance to do promotions, excited woo
(In March we decided not to have any in the end, even though the discussions happened)

So:
My Suggestions:

Member of the Month

Starzhine- The amount of hours she put into the Jagex Cups was TRULY spectacular. She doubled the time she was expected to take on the Skill Cup, so that she could improve her average exp per hour for the two skills.
She helped me brew HUNDREDS of Axeman's Folly for the WC Skill.
She trained on her own to get better at Stealing Creation.
As well as being event active, the best person out there for support... I think she deserves MotM APRIL.

Guardian---->Higher

Chimp_Guy0 - I think it is time that we promoted him, event active, always in IRC, a pleasure to talk to. He has really shown me his true qualities this month, and I like him a lot. A great guy to have around, he is reponsible for helping to restore faith in the Leadership.

For Sooth - Never got a promotion, but now I think he deserves one. He is getting more and more event active, participating in sotw + csotw and always helpful on IRC, helped us get #wgwilderness back when Mugger invaded it.

Angus0000 - Perhaps a little more quiet than most people, but when you get to know him he is a really great guy. Active on IRC, Forums, RS, Event active... Been with us for a while and never asks for any recognition for what he does.

Higher---->Elite

Flame5107 - Owen is very very event active, both in sotw, csotw, pvp events and non-pvp events, an excellent all-rounder and I think it is high time that he was promoted to elite. Also very active in the Jagex Cups.

Rachellove9 - Gives 110% wherever she is, whenever she is online. Always willing to talk to members, to give them advice, she has given me lots. She is supportive, a helping hand in times of need, she is always one to restore faith in the Leadership, active in the Jagex Cups, schedules last minute events to encourage activity. She is perfect.

Lefty2802- Has some good ideas and clearly wants to change things in WG, he had many good ideas in his Council Application. Sometimes he goes over the top and perhaps upsets someone... but that is because he is so determined to help WG out of this "slump".

Vephy....?

Whilst I think that we should increase the numbers, to make up for the lack of March Promotions, I DO NOT THINK THAT WE SHOULD DOUBLE THE NUMBERS CHOSEN... maybe 1 and a half....?
3 Elite... not 4 perhaps. Maybe 3 Higher Guardian too.

Completely agree with every one of them. Dunno about Vephy. He's a good kid, but like. Really quiet. I've never talked to him much.

My list is basically everyone George mentioned, besides maybe Owen. He's Emeritus for starters. And his sheer bad attitude towards being active in WG makes me think he doesn't deserve a promotion.

Not angus or flame, both inactive

We shouldn't increase the number of promotion because we didn't have any in March. We don't have to give out promotions at all. They're earned. We should make them special. I'm not saying we can't promote more than one person, but we shouldn't feel the need to promote three or four people to Elite Guardian, seeing as how it's the END of the WG ranks besides staff. That is something only the best of the best should get, not the three or four people that could qualify.

On the topic of promotions we should take into account more than just activity and kindness and stuff like that. We expect that of every single member. And those being considered for promotion are obviously going to meet those requirements. What are the things that stand out about the member? Has he put forth multiple suggestions? Has he taken some heat for some decision or comment? What has he done that makes him a Higher Guardian or Elite Guardian besides go to events - something which is required to remain in the clan...

On another note, I completely support Rachel's promotion. She has shown she is more than willing to put WG first. She has put a lot more effort towards her combat and PvP and we all know she is more on the skilling side of the spectrum. However, she has put up with so much crap from some people about the skilling/combat drama and still she remains true to WG. She also meets the basic requirements of activity, helpfulness, kindness and stuff like that.

Lefty is a very active member. Active in the sense of clan matters. He's always voicing his opinion and providing a new view. He's intelligent and it's evident in the way he presents his thoughts. He's very insightful and always adds to the discussion at hand. He also meets the basic requirements of activity, helpfulness, and kindness.

I agree with promoting Chimp and Sooth. They're both very active and always voice their opinions in a good manner. Sooth can sometimes be a little rough though, but tI think that is a good quality because he's not a jerk. He's tough on people because he knows when to be tough.

I do not agree with promoting Flame (isn't he Emeritus?) or Angus.

Sooth has DEFINITELY been helpful, especially helping us with his bot and scripts. He's been much more active than he used to be.

Chimp is also one of our more active PvPers. Hes always ready and up for action. He is also one of our more IRC active people

Those people I definitely agree deserve a promotion. The rest is up to you really.

I agree that some of the other people have been VERY contributive, but I think we're promoting too many.

I think DZ should be Member of the Month.

I've always been against monthly promotions, just appoint them once someone noticeably deserves one. We all know there is no big difference in being a higher or an elite anyway.

I didn't realise that Flame was emeritus.
Ok so no Flame and Angus.

As Flame and Angus are inactive then we can take out those 2 from your list and promote the other 2 people so Chimp and Sooth to higher guardian and Rachel, Lefty get promoted to Elite guardian.

As for Kristy getting MOTM yes she is very RS active and helpful and your right shes not in the IRC very often however she is dedicated to wg and did help alot with the skilling cup and i dont think anyone else has really stood out this month.

Sooth is personally a dick to me for some reason, but I'm still cool with him getting a promotion. I guess that bindbot is useful.

I just want to say, don't push promos or MOTM...
If it's not there, it's not there.

But Saad, it clearly IS there this time.
I didn't have to think of those names above... they all came to me naturally.
