Making events more appealing

I guess the job of the staff is to make events look as fun as can be. No offense to anyone but simply putting text on a post that says COME doesn't really do much to entice the members. As an experiment I started to make small videos but I don't really have much footage available to make them worthwhile. Here is my suggestion that I believe will increase activity by making events look fun.

If I remember correctly, Netstormuk used to do this when he was an event leader: Make event banners. With the help of basically anyone who is skilled with photoshop, we should use the All Events Ever catalog and make banners for the events. Some background pictures and cool flashy text. Once we make them we can store them in the catalog for future use.

Although it does not seem like much, it will make the posts much more appealing and catch the member's attention. My personal job will be to start recording events as they happen and start keeping a youtube catalog in my channel, which will then be linked toi these banners.

I have Photoshop CS3 Extended on my computer, so I might be able to work with that somewhat. I remember when we had the pictures in event topics that said what the event was, but the picture was made in photoshop or something. It drew your attention a lot faster than plain text.

It might be a good idea. I definitely agree it makes it look interesting.
A picture catalog is a great idea.

I can try my hand at Photoshop CS4, but I'm not great at it. I'll put more into my event posts then.

I made some banners in the past.
I made them after we launched the weekly ToG rotation thing (doesn't exist anymore)

This is a good idea. Anyone still working on this?
