We want to improve our public boards, yes?
Here's how.
Make the "Event Recaps" forum public. This goes for both wars and skilling and community events.
Why?
People thinking about applying can get a taste of what we've done, including what we've done RECENTLY. Of course our videos showing us pull 200 opts 3 years ago are impressive, but that's not what we are now. We offer lots of events and do plenty of pk',s etc. It would look nice and offer more for people who have newly registered to view.
There is a little possible danger with this. In all PK recaps, we would take out all information hinting at our pk time. I don't want to give free info out to clans interested in hunting us. Also, we may need to take out our attendances. I'm not sure if that's a danger to us or not. If it is, I have a solution.
New Attendance System: (The point of this is to not show attendance to the public since that could possibly be used for spying or whatever I suppose?) This would all occur in a private forum. (Trial Guardians +) So it hits Monday, the first day of the week. (At least for our purposes) Say Saad hosts Tears of Guthix Monday afternoon. He makes his recap and then afterwards, he goes to this more private forum and makes a post entitled
Attendances: May 18 to 25 or something. On the post itself, he'd post the attendance from his event. Then say Colonel hosts another event the next day. This time instead of making a new post, he simply REPLIES to Saad's topic with the next set of attendances.
Why do this? Updating attendances at the end of the week would be extremely quick. Hell, all the attendances are on one page. The only reason to do this is if we were afraid of publicly flaunting our attendances.
We could also make all upcoming events public? I'm sure we would be open to Intro's attending skilling events to get a taste of the clan. This makes us look more active from an Intro's eyes, and we then don't have the split between public and clan only events. If you want, you can put like "clan only" on the topic or something, justifying it however you want. I'm sure they'd understand, it just shows that we are active.

We could also move "Clan Guides" to a public spot. It just shows how we give effort to help each other as a clan. It looks good.

All of that info can be found on fansites and stuff anyways, its not private information really.
We could also move the whole forum "The Real World" to a public spot. Nothing here is private. Its mostly a discussion forum.

Again, discussion makes us look active.
