Should i go ahead or get a new one

By sgtswordfish on 18/05/2009
basic story about this car was it was purchased in 95 and from then its been changing owners 25+ times. my brother is the previous owner when the car had glory. that is until my mom borrowed it and drove it till it got dried. biglaugh.gif

then i came in and changed the engine and transmission...but the problem persist,

the left wheel axels continues to shred to pieces. and i lack the knowledge and the time to figure out whats wrong. i've changed the darn thing 3 times and it cost around $200-250. that's a major lost especially with all the things i have to get done.

my next option is start from scratch with a used car.

let the discussion begin =D

sell it on craigs list for parts....then buy a new car.....one of my friends just bought a 2002 Honda Civic for $4 grand(massive deal). Hit up craigs list, lots of deals, some scams(dont buy shit off ebay or from some1 living overseas)

If you did a motor and transmittion, you have machanical talent. Fix it to run til you can afford another used car. Maybe buy one with a blown motor and go to the scrap yard for like $100 and buy another motor. Your costs can be much less and you have the time to do that if you repair the one you have to just get you by.

I don't recommend going into dept for a car in your situation. If you are machanically inclined you don't really need to. You should be able to fix the smaller issues that come up with a used car.

wub.gif Just made #59 and #89. hehe

actually thats a good idea, if you have a friend who fixes cars for a living, talk to him, he may be able to help you fix it up for free if you take the time to help him help you.....most mechanics have all the auto parts needed to fix a car at their homes as they do at the workshop....

i had a chance to look at the damage my car suffered.

apparently the left wheel axle was defective since the piece literaly came lose. no cut marks or anything. thus i'm getting it replaced..

with that i've decided to keep the car until i can buy a new one or bring it to glory
