"Trial Watch"

So,

We're meant to be the 'higher up' members of Wg, and yet it is a fairly common observation that very little actually happens in the 'higher level' but non staff forums. I think we should work on changing this, and perhaps a start would be to have a 'trial watch' system.

We all are hopefully active members of WG, so we are all out there day by day hopefully watching and helping these trials progress through their first month of WG. But what if one goes off the rails somewhere?

I am suggesting that we have a thread in here (if not this one?) where people are able to report the 'important details' of a trials account, and why you think council/staff should take a look at that persons account/membership.

Fin has become very inactive in the second half of his trial period and has stopped visiting forums or attending events. Looking at his Acceptance date he is fast approaching the end of his trial period and he has not met the min events, nor does it appear he is going to?

Actually I sorta do this already. Fin and slik/Luigi are two that I have concerns with currently. I asked in irc if anyone had seen them and then talked to Andrew about it. I usually choose a few intros that I help through the process of becoming guardians. Even though I'm not their mentor I find they need friends to watch out for them.

I already do this, mentors should be doing this in the first place.

Really very inacitve, looking at her last acitivty it seems as though she's visited forums once or twice since she rejoined and I havent seen her in game or on IRC either. I supported her app on the condition that she would be active, which she clearly is not.

Yes I will have a talk with Mark. He seems to be less active to me too.

I saw Fin in the game and asked him to post a goodbye if he was not going to be active. It is always better when people leave on good terms instead of kicked.

What is the reason for Katie (pminogue)'s sustained inactivity, every time she comes back she is inactive.... coincidence or maybe she doesn't give a toss? Or maybe she simply is too busy IRL to meet the deamnds of WG?

Ryan informed me that Slik is very close to the end of his trial period and he has only managed to attend half the required events. Perhaps his mentor should talk to him before he fails his trail, if he fails his trial its DEFINITELY his mentors fault

But seriously, he's forum and IRC active so I see no reason for him not to make his 5 events within a month. If he's not making events now it doesnt bode well for him as a full member

I've talked to Fin and he has some rl issues but I think they will work out. If you see him on try helping him.

I see slik around quite often, but I believe he is Dutch and can't attend much things.

Mark is in IRC pretty often, I am wondering how many members he has actually gotten to know. He seems extreme shy. Please try approaching him if you can.

Over 2 months as a trial? has been kicked from WG before and it seems like nothing has changed?

I think I saw Katie on a raid like last week. I still don't understand the inactivity there.

Bump,

Briggette is up to 20 days since last forum visit now.

Red Knigh and Eze Archer are also heading into inactivity, both having not visited the forums for 4-5 days.

Does anyone know what is up with John? He came to WG all active and ready to raid and stuff and I never see him around.

The oddest part is that he applied and got accepted for trial raid leader. I had hoped with many others that he would work out in this area. It seems extremely odd that he is so inactive now. Is that part of the reason we aren't promoting anyone yet?

He has posted 'inactivity' however manages to be in Tabs' channel every time that I have been in there lately, yet never in the WG channels. Tabs has mentioned to him that he needs to get active in WG while I've been in there, though he hasn't visited forums since then.

No real excuse for this, his 1 month trial limit has expired.

John was really active in the first half of his trial period, then pretty much since trial raid leaders he's been inactive. He did have an inactivity thread posted up untill a little over a week ago, but since his 'return' he appears to have only visited forums once to post a 'half assed' graduation thread, and has not made the changes that were requested on it?

Not the 'great new member' he was made out to be?

Hasn't visited forums for the last 9 days, I doubt he has visited them more than once since he got accepted. Going inactive for more than a week in your trial period should *really* be instant fail IMO.

I agree, John said to give him a week from July 28th to get everything in order - it's the 4th of August and haven't heard from him.

I was a supporter, and I've been proven wrong. He should be held up to the same standards we hold everyone else - he failed the graduation even with extra time.

Only thing in his favor is that I've not seen him in-game either, so it could be a RL issue, but you never know.

I've just spoken to a friend of Angela (Dutch Frag) and she has some big problems home. I have no idea how long she will be inactive, and what for problems she has.

And I'll try to find out why Pascaletje2 is inactive.

EDIT: Pascal is just moved in to a new house and he had to give his laptop to his sister who lives some where else. So he needs to share the computer with his parents and also the computer is in the living room. So he can't always play.
And school started.
He wil be for the next 3 months not 100% active. But he is gonna try to be active as possible.

Uhhh 21 days inactive, but I don't think that's accurate. But I still haven't seen him in a long time.

The only person on that list to have posted long term inactivity is Lord Baias, and he's asking for his trial period to be at least doubled which is a bit extreme if you ask me....

Yes I read the post about breast cancer and it was not in the correct forum. He was really really upset. I think maybe try giving him a lil slack on this. If we do end up kicking him then maybe we could let him back in where he was instead of going through the process all over again.

It has to be an extreme stress on him. I know I cry every time my friend calls me that had hers both removed in July. She lost all her hair and is very ill from all the treatments. He could be dealing with a lot.

McMoose Man blatantly skips events, even when I pm him telling him to get to an event (even mand pk's).
