Introducing WG Seasonal Awards

After MANY suggestions and favourable opinions concerning clan awards, and many promises from the Leadership to input them, we're introducing in these first days of Spring, the WG Seasonal Awards, which would be voted by WG members once each season, i.e. every three months.

WG Awards wouldn't be WG Awards if the clan as a whole didn't participate entirely in their elaboration.

This'll be a collective, clan-wide project.

It'll be done in a few steps - the first one is getting your suggestions.

I'm really curious to hear of your ideas. We talked for a bit, but it's hard with only two people to come up with all of the categories, and rules for them.

What I think is most important is to limit the amount of awards people can win, but how? Feedback please.

I just added them together and I think that is a good list. In my eyes I think people should only be able to win a maximum of two!

You are still missing the whole point, it's not awards we need. It's a way of allowing everyone to win won, and limiting the amount that people can win that we need.

Does everybody have to win one though?
Like, that'd be a lot of awards.
I think 3 max per person would be good.

I think a Combat Competition every three months could designate the "Best Trainer" award.

I have one problem with this, how are we going to stop this becoming a popularity contest. I do realise that by allowing each person to only receive 2-3 awards this would reduce the risk, but some of the awards arent the kind of thing that can be recognised by a vote.

Just a few examples:

Best Tank-- Does a normal member really watch each fight to see who is the 'Best tank'? I'm going to guess not....

Best sniper-- Again.... if youre at a war and your attention is on finding who the best sniper is rather than figthing then you're not doing your job :/

I think a distinction should be made between which awards are given by a clan vote and which are nominated and then voted on by either the tertiary leaders/raid leaders and council.

In regard to rewards.... as we can no longer offer financial rewards what will people get for 'winning' one of these awards? I would love to suggest banners but since Wg only has a couple of sig-makers now it would put a huge demand on them to provide a huge amount of underbanners/sigs.

What else can we reward winners with?

You also need to find the dates of the seasons so you can make them actual Seasonal awards!

But for certain categories raid leaders are the best qualified to judge that and it would mean a lot more if a person thought that the people who know about fighting really thought they deserved it. I don't know anything about skilling so leave me alone.

Yeah I'm with the idea of giving them to every person as possible, would give every member a special thing about himself to brag about

I read all the categories suggestions, liked them all except some few stupid ones. There isn't anything more to add to them

Just make it so you can't get more than 1.
realistically 70+ awards is alot of different awards to make.
with the words "Best, most, and the -est ending" multiple people can't get the same award.
