So ya, I installed Release Candidate 1 for Windows 7. Nothing really outstanding about it other than Microsoft has finally caught up to the likes of Apple's OSX and even the features that LINUX distributions, yes FREE SOFTWARE has had for AGES now.
I've noticed it has better networking than Vista. However, nothing beats the networking tools you get with Linux distros.
They finally decided to add a screen backlight dimmer after a period of inactivity to save laptop power.
And they discovered CHANGING DESKTOP BACKGROUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Damn Microsoft is behind the times.
Drivers for the most part seem to work flawlessly. Only have one issue with my trackpad on my laptop and that's the Dell driver install thing doesn't work.
I believe Windows 7 is released to the public October 22nd of this year.
This is what you have to look forward to...sorta.
