Promotions?

Since it's been so long since we last had any promotions, might as well talk about who might be good to give it to here, and then they might get done

Personally I think that our current group of elite are fairly good.... and only one or two of the current higher guardians really suit Elite anyway.

Of the Guardians though, I'd suggest:

Guardian to Higher

-Jacob is one of those people that just sits down and does stuff for WG, he doesnt make a huge deal out of it either. Good event attendance and activity from what I have seen as well :0

Red Buddas
-Nathan is a noob just like Darf, and in the same way he contributes allot to WG's community. Really friendly, active etc. and can almost definitely tank better than Darth too

-I hope Rach won't mind me saying, but Kathy reminds me allot of you. She obviously cares for WG and our members, and though her activity isn't the best in WG, she is still a great member (in my eyes )

Zemus3654
-Moose is no less deserving of Higher than he was ~6 months ago before he left to try bigger and (supposedly) better things. He puts a huge amount of effort into recruiting, and is active + friendly.

I'm not being elitist and you well know it Nick.
What i'm trying to say and perhaps I didn't say it well, no I didnt. IO'm trying to say that this is the only decision the staff have, if you think about it the staff as a group have very few decisions and I personally would prefer to keep this discussion as a staff-orientated thing, but that doesn't mean that we don't want your input at all...

The problem is guys, you HAVENT been doing promotions, you can't deny it, there hasn't been any in quite a long time.

Members can only do so much, I don't have acess to lvl 3/4 or access to Admin Cp so all I can do is suggest, suggest and suggest.

I hate to say this, but all I see from council atm is a great long term vision. You guys have a plan which you're carrying out (and incidentally, seems to be working well, activity is up and we seem to be heading in the right direction) but the small day to day things don't seem to be happening:

Promotions? non-existant.

Inactivity Sweep? 2 weeks since you said it was a couple of days away.

Trial Guardians? Take a look at lvl 1 3/4, there's several that deserve to be kicked.

etc. etc.

WG will not just keep going on a great long term plan, you need to have a good balence of both long term and short term, which we don't have at the moment.

Peronally...I like the way this system would work.

Elites post their suggestions, and we take them into consideration before discussing anything in Level 3. It involves them much more in the process, lets them know that they're not being ignored and when something ISN'T done, they know we were slacking. I think it keeps us in check and gives them a little more room to have an effect on the clan, which is ultimately what rising the ranks is all about - not the pretty name, but having input and seeing outcome that you helped spur.

All sorts of RS activity aside I think Angus REALLY deserves the promotion. As JC said, he just does stuff. If WG needs something of him, he's there to give it. Dedicated. Loyal. Perfect.

Moose, I really think he deserves this promotion simply because of what he has done for this clan. Granted, he left us before when we needed loyal members the most, but he was one of the people that returned quickly. He realized that what he wanted was this and not what other clans had to offer. He helps anyone and everyone and just makes this place a better place to be.

Kathy has proven to be a dedicated member of WG, and as JC said is a lot like Rachel in that she's very passionate about the clan. She brings some calmness to this place and I think we need that balance. Great candidate.

Nathan, I can't really say much. IF his tanking ability does in fact surpass the un-satisfactory Darf Mugle he deserves this promotion.

I can agree with all the suggestions for promotions. I don't consider rank or raid ability when I think of who should be promoted. Because at the end of a war whether we win or lose some members are just there to be encouraging and supportive of the clan.

Ranking them from who I see as first to promote:

1. Jacob ~ extremely great member

2. Kathy ~ she is great for the community and always encourages and is positive

3. Moose ~ loyal in his own way (Remember WG dumped on him very badly in the past. Anyone questions that just pm me on irc.)

4. Nathan ~ upcoming great member

Higher to Elite.

Flamey (Owen) - Good lad, good attendence. Deserves Elite for sure. Always on IRC, and on forums. Promotion.
