My Testimonial

By Kecooler on 19/07/2009
I figured it was too long for the website.

When one thinks of WG one has to think of His Lordship... after all, he is the frontal figure of the clan. I find it extremely difficult to find a word which truly describes Eugene in full. There is much complexity, much strength and much emotion to be seen from him and his actions. After all, the TeamSpeak rant has achieved worldwide fame, as well as WG's recruitment video, which I believe is the only RuneScape-related video in which the clan leader presents it. On the one hand, Eugene is a very strong individual. No other leader can I think of has survived 2 hacks and 3 permenant bans. The TeamSpeak rant shows the extent to which he can fight for his clan and purpose, and at certain moments on the server even I feel intimidated at times. But as long as you stay on his good side, you can begin to understand that the sheer amount of dedication and effort he has put into so many years in the clan world has reflected here in WildGuard.

After all, I believe a good clan leader IS his clan. The Wilderness Guardians have long been renowned as a community clan, and to this day, their reputation upholds. Being a friend and hopefully a future member, I find myself logging onto the forums frequently and periodically simply because every now and then a new post or topic arises from the large array of forums available even to clan friends, and there is much discussion and conversation to flourish from such. What conversation of leisure which arises from the IRC and TeamSpeak is always positive and polite, and the events on which the clan hosts and has allowed me to attend (Raids specifically) I can barely find fault with. I do not doubt WG's strength in wars and P2P, and the combination of skill, coordination and just enjoyment gives a thrill which no clan, save maybe the late cXs, comes close to producing.

Even at only level 50 combat, I still feel like part of the WG family... a younger brother still growing up who has much to learn and experience before he truly joins his elder siblings in the syndicate which is WG. Maybe not the most valuable and productive of WG's population, but are the FA's ever? Even so I still feel compelled to give my support and ensure the clan survives for as long as it deserves. I have given one donation to the clan already, produced a WG mousepad, and am looking forward to buying my T-shirt in the near future. I try my best to help sustain the community and atmosphere of friendship, teamwork, and maturity (Ok, maybe not so much maturity but hey, WG wouldn't be perfect without being imperfect) and put in mutual support physically for the clan when they need it. If I can help and WG asks, I will help.

I look up to Eugene and the leadership as parents, and the Guardians of WG as my brothers and sisters, with whom I can trust and be loyal and faithful to. Not just clanmates, but people who I know for who they are, and who will fight, die or stand victorious by my side throughout the life of WG. I can only hope that one day I will be honoured the rank of Guardian and will truly be able to experience what I believe is the most amazing community clan left in RuneScape. Though not just a clan... a home.

To end, there is one thing I can add which truly sums up WG in my opinion. Credit to Big Al 002 for the pic.

Except me.

I still fully intend to undermine his authority and overthrow him from his throne, stealing his seat of power.

I still shall one day rule you all. Mark my words. You have been warned.
