I'm on the fence..
By The_Z_Blade3 on 21/07/2009
Lately, I have fallen inactive and lost members because of one issue.. Money. In about a week or so, I am going to have to get a second job to start helping support my parents with the bills and insurance payment, on top of my own cell phone bill and car payments that I have to make every month. With this second job, I highly doubt I will have enough time left in my day to attend any events at all, so I'm asking you guys for advice/what to do.. what path should I go? Am I able to have emeritus and be able to return to my current rank, or will I have to go to ex-member and work my way back up into the WG ranks.. I do not wish to quit, but with the events that are about to unfold in these next coming months.. I do not know what to think of it.. Please..
Give me some guidance on what I need to do.

Go emeritus, thats the best

Unforutunately only higher+ can get emeritus.

That's... what I thought. *sigh* I guess I have to go ex-member and work my way back up then..

ah shit
post temporary inactivity???
DONT LEAVE =[

I think temporary would be putting it VERY lightly. It would become semi-permenant until I could get a good foothold in the other job to get a good enough pay and go back to one job.. I don't know what I should do though.

I'll buy your membership. If you can continue activty.

If you're in tough times just go inactive for a bit, ive done that before

Two things that I can say..
Unfortunately you cannot go emeritus, but the council is very understanding, and as the family unit that we are here, we can understand if you can't put 100% into WG at the moment. In my perspective, any effort is better than no effort, and it is showing effort with you posting about it here.
Also, I would be able to help you with getting monthly members if you need it. I am very understanding and have helped a few WG already. Just PM me on IRC or on forums so we can talk about it in more detail, if you are interested that is.

Honestly, getting membership isn't really that hard for me.. it's just maintaining that level of activity WG requires from each member.. I don't think I'll be able to stay and keep up with everyone :\
I appreciate lee and lefty for the offers on membership, but it's not necessary

Mark,
The very least activity that is expected is one event a week. That event in honesty should be a raid/war if at all possible. That is not the rule but it helps the clan the most. You would also need to post on a few threads each week and pop into IRC as well. I'm not sure, but that may be a way to keep being in WG for a month or so til you are on your feet again in rl. Good Luck with your decision and I wish you the best.

HAHA GOOD LUCK GETTING HIGHER GUARDIAN People go for 3 months of being WG and get Higher. I've been for almost 7 months and still not been promoted. Harsh, maybe. You're most likely going to have to go ex-member. :/

Bummer man, you have to do what you have to do. Post inactivity. I did for a while and I am gradually coming back.
