Got bored so thought i would just pop in and see what guardians think of clanworld.
Whats your opinions on pkri?

I see a lot of people having lots of fun at raids. The pkri don't seem to be as good for the entire clan as a whole but some really enjoy that too. If I am at a fighting thing longer than maybe 40 to 60 minutes I start feeling ill. I leave and try to come back though. If I don't feel pressured then I stay longer.
I like f2p cause it is easier to get dressed and ready to go to. CWA is good too. I go to what I can cause anytime you're with the clan it is all good.
I don't loot. I don't like some of the clans out there. Like when the guy killed himself some of the clan world was truly rude. I think WG has some very nice allies. I would have to look at the clans from who is in them at the time to say I like any of them besides WG.

Fun as long as it doesnt become dragged out/respect is there.
What is your choice f2p or p2p?
P2P - F2P gets boring, but in P2P the situation changes much more quickly, and your clan has to be prepared for it. I also enjoy the dependency for individual skill, tactics, and organization.
Would you rather war or pkri?
I actually would prefer a Pkri, but a capped one. I don't like it if drags on too long and the gear standards are begining to drop; its annoying to get killed by raggers. I like being able to return to a fight and work towards the finish with everyone's efforts.
How long is too long for you?
When it starts reaching the 5 hour mark or so. However, when its a rivalry fight, I'm willing to go all the way (within reason).
Do you loot?
If its lower level wildy yea. I'll try to make sure to stay if its a critical point in the fight, but if its just really slow, then its just a quick 30 sec bank with a games necklace. When it gets deep though, I try to only loot statuettes and try to finish the fight if possible. I wont walk all the way down just to bank loot.
What do you think of the overall CLANWORLD?
I don't really like how fights can be dragged on now. I think doing 8 hour f2p pkris is kinda ridiculous. The longest F2P PKRI i've attend was probably 3 hours long, and even it got really repetitive. I personally can't see what can be so entertaining being in a top F2P clan and having long PKRIs every week, but many can argue that since I havent experienced it, I cant really judge it. I don't like the way the current clan world act towards each other; theres alot of needless fighting.

Back in the day my answer would be war, because they actually meant nothing and there was nothing better to pump you up than a good full out war, but now I guess it would have to be PKRI.

Clan world is alright, just people need to be calm and take loses. Some clans are just straight up oblivious that this is just a game and take it too seriously.

Whats your opinions on pkri?
I struggle to see the advantages of a PKRI over a standard, non returning war. At the end of the day, the only thing a PKRI proves is who can, and can;t afford to spend a signifcant portion of their bank on a single fight in the Wildy.
Despite what some people say, returning multiple times does not prove you're more skilled, just that you have more patience and money.
What is your choice f2p or p2p?
F2p personally, though I guess it's fairly obvious that Wg has a significant p2p focus at the moment, so if thats what we wan,t I'll follow it.
Would you rather war or pkri?
As was made fairly clear above, I would much rather war than PKRI. I don't see the point of 3 hour fights.... let alone the 5-10 hour fights that some clans think are good.
How long is too long for you?
Anything over 2-3 hours is pushing it
Do you loot?
If I've got space, I probably would. depends what the drop is, and whether I was on f2p or p2p as well. No point looting in p2p if you're going to get KO'd getting it.
What do you think of the overall CLANWORLD?
Much more competitive than it has been as there is allot more clans, and to a certain extent, allot less demand for them with single Pk'ing being popular again. In all honesty I think the whole clan world is a lot more 'medicore' than it used to be, with allot less clans that 'stand out' or cater to specific groups, now we just have Good/oaky/crap clans.... and then a few Nh ones.

It's overly abusive for a game like this, although that's a generalization based on the loudest assholes on RSC. There are plenty of good clean clans out there, but the ones that don't start drama don't get publicity. Sitting on RSC to me is like watching a lonely adolescent soap opera.

Bloody shite. Tbh it's a pointless war that drains rune sets and depends on which clan's members are rich fuckers and have no social life so they can return for 2 days straight. I don't mind stuff like a 1 hour capped returning war or returning to an unplanned PKRI to fight, but these clans that rape each other for 8 hours straight... the only thing that's good for was looting back in the day. You made like a mil a war if you found DI's world on a Saturday

The only reason I say F2P is because P2P has always been too demanding for me. I love warring and raiding DEEP in F2P because I'm, as the phrase goes, a big fish in a little pool. In P2P it's the other way round, and if you don't have 1) SGS, 2) Ancients or 3) Dbow you pretty much suck. In time I'll probably be able to move onto P2P but for now I just stick with what I know.

My favourite event in RS is a full-out no cap, no limit, no returning RUNE WAR in deep wilderness (West of gdz) in F2P PvP with all styles allowed, and I'd rather do that than anything else, if I had the supplies. I do really enjoy raids/pks in F2P and sometimes in P2P ONLY if they are in DEEP wilderness. If you go by the typical meaning of PKRI which is an unplanned run-in I don't mind. Basically turns a PK into a war

Over 3 hours straight, except raids. Raids I'll give up to 6 hours, if we're deep and not getting raped.

Depends on what the item is. In F2P If it's rune or over 100k value then generally yes. After all... half of PKing is drops

It's surviving. A lot of the great community clans like cXs aren't around today though and many old friends didn't pull through 10/12/07. When TS is looking for a war and I go around from channel to channel on the IRC, 80% of my first choice clans are dead . I'm still hoping for a clan that wars AND raids in deep wilderness as it's focus. WG is pretty much top of the line in community nowadays.

Whats your opinions on pkri? Great fun, fought in several long Pkris with AF (by long 3-3 and a half hours)

Would you rather war or pkri or pk? Above 20 Wild Pkris are good for P2P, below they become boring - due to teleporting and rol's
How long is too long for you? The latest i've returned is until nearly 1am vs RDK/FoF and Rot i think it was. Was in the fight for over 3 hours before I left.
Do you loot items(not food)? Depends where, but if its a good item I dont see why not the end of the day its going back into Pk sets or supplies, -20/30 wilderness I use imps to bank good drops to save returning and deep I ususally only loot food and prayer boosters.
What do you think of the overall CLANWORLD? Speaking from P2P only wilderness, its growing and definately fun.
Whose your favourite clan aside from your own clan? I think RoT are looking very dominant at the moment, they havent been 1 iteming or crashing much lately from what i've seen my p2p team have decent relations with them which is good as our fights dont get ruined.

Whats your opinions on pkri? I prefer PKRI's, mainly because when your sitting with 100 people, and then you die, you have to wait for the rest of your clan to die before you can do anything. With PKRI's, you can return to the fight and actually fight, rather than waiting on the sidelines.

I've never liked any kind of player to player combat unless it was staking or duelling. Player killing trips and wars are in my book just a waste of time. I will do them though

1 hour is too long for me. I like player killing trips if they are quit after an hour at top. If people start world hopping too much I tend to switch on private and skip to my own world to continue my own work.

It depends. If we are doing PK trips I do. If I get a kill I deserve to take what's mine. If I get the kill even though a bunch of people helped maging or ranging him, I still think I deserve the kill for most damage done.
I don't loot in wars unless I can see we're superiour..
What do you think of the overall CLANWORLD?
The clanworld is the best thing about Runescape. It's the best way you can bond with other people and it's definately the best way to keep yourself socialized ingame. Also the competition between the clans and the fellow clanmembers is a great motivation to become better at what you do.
Whose your favourite clan aside from your own clan?
It's the Genesis Knights. I have great friends there. Apart from them I like TRWF and Golden Sun for the same reasons. I do have a few good friends from Damage Incorporated but not enough to call it one of my favourites..

1 hour is too long for me. I like player killing trips if they are quit after an hour at top. If people start world hopping too much I tend to switch on private and skip to my own world to continue my own work.
Do you loot items(not food)?
It depends. If we are doing PK trips I do. If I get a kill I deserve to take what's mine. If I get the kill even though a bunch of people helped maging or ranging him, I still think I deserve the kill for most damage done.
I don't loot in wars unless I can see we're superiour..
What do you think of the overall CLANWORLD?
The clanworld is the best thing about Runescape. It's the best way you can bond with other people and it's definately the best way to keep yourself socialized ingame. Also the competition between the clans and the fellow clanmembers is a great motivation to become better at what you do.
Whose your favourite clan aside from your own clan?
It's the Genesis Knights. I have great friends there. Apart from them I like TRWF and Golden Sun for the same reasons. I do have a few good friends from Damage Incorporated but not enough to call it one of my favourites..

Do you loot items(not food)? Honestly, in F2P no never except corrupt which I dont even bank, I use on the same death. In my entire time in DF I only banked once when I was alive during a PKRI and it was for runes I think. P2P however I loot the shit out of it
What do you think of the overall CLANWORLD? Needs more clans to step up and actually hold their ground and fight. Nowadays we're stuck with EoS and VR and they don't really fight us that often. Starving us off fights killed our activity pretty much as we went from pulling maxed to 300.

When I think of PKRIs I think of go up, die and lose 200-300k, get another set from your bank, go up and repeat from step 1. Wars you plan it out, you get a week or so prep, you get an AC, you go up, you rape or you die, and someone wins or loses. A traditional PKRI I don't mind as long as it doesn't rage on for 8 hours. Capped returning wars I don't mind.Actually wtfak is the difference between a PKRI and a war because I have lost all sense of definition in the past 2 years

A war means you cannot return.
A pkri means you return until the other clan cannot continue.
Btw you saw a war is planned and everything. A pkri can have week preps and have an ac too.
Both in wars and pkri you can formulate strategies, like in p2p certain barrage spots or specific range gear.
In f2p you can wear specific gear, target certain people, keep the fight at a certain location, the list goes on.
And to be honest you don't technically return and die... If you can tank, you will live and sometimes be able to go bank.
Possibilities are endless, use your imagination and don't hate things right away if you at first just can't keep affording it
. And yes your right, a pkri can get uncontrollable if it goes over a certain amount of time, but it doesn't matter if your fighting for what you believe in. By Kecooler on 25/07/2009

That pretty much clears it up for me. I can stand returning wars which are capped for an hour or so but not a PKRI. To me, a PKRI is a war without organisation (figuratively speaking).
Not my style.
It's not that I can't afford it, it's just I don't believe I'm fighting for anything in a PKRI. The winner of a war is defined by numbers, skills, strength, ability, experience. The winner of a PKRI is defined by how long mom lets you on the computer for, and how much of a rich fucker you are for 100 rune sets, and your lack of friends and social life to let you Scape for 8 hours straight. That's how I see it.
