What is this crap?

I don't like that Omar has returned to push training in a not so great way. He is a trial guardian and I'm being harassed by him to train every time I come in IRC? I can take it but that is not my point.

We have had peace in WG between War/skiller members for months now. No real division between us in any negative way. I see him stirring up problems that made us have a mass leaving in the past. Get a grip on it!!! He may think it is all fun and that but everyone here doesn't know him. I can see him pushing so hard that people just leave or start rebelling against combat stuff.

Is this really what we want???? A trial guardian causing us a bunch of trouble before he even graduates. I don't give a flying cow what level he is or how good he is at wars.

This in no way reflects my personal relationship with Omar. I on a personal level love him. But as an Elite Guardian, I have to put that aside and tell the truth as I see it.

Couldn't agree more.

He was let in easily because we know him. He shouldn't get away with THE SAME SHIT he did last time that only stirred the feud which led to our slump.

We've been without any sort of problems and now that he's back he's already started stuff with Jesper. Granted he wasn't flaming or anything, but just pushing people to do what he wants and then pinning WG downfall on them...what the hell is that?

He needs to be watched, and he needs to be treated like a Trial Guardian - keep him on a short leash.

Omar shouldn't be coming back and getting straight up peoples back by telling people to go train, regardless of it being (at least partially) friendly banter or not, he's very quickly going to annoy people and potentially undo all the positives we have seen over the last few months with Skillers and Cmb'ers working together.

It frustrates me personally, that it seems as though to him its only good enough if you're maxed (and I'm sure he would still hassle you if you weren't maxed Agility as well). My account's stats are exactly that, mine, and it is my choice whether I decide to get them up or not.

If we really want to encourage people to train up their combat, having someone tell people to 'Go train' is not the way to go about it, whether they are a trial guardian or Gene. Positive reinforcement is always going to give you more success.... be it combat SoTW (which seems to work fairly well) or even a longer term combat training competition.

How about a "Intraclan combat olympics" to see how much combat Xp you can get within 2 weeks? or something along those to encourage people to train, but enjoy training + competeing with other clan-mates?

The very fact that you guys say he disrupts us as a clan disturbs me. He is only one single member. He is only trial Guardian and he should not have such a mass effect. It is a negative effect as well.

Tell him to cut it out. I'll keep my eye on him. I have nothing against him but if I see this bringing the clan or any single individual in the clan down I will take action.

Preferably anonymous that way no more trouble is made by it. So long as he KNOWS people are watching him, he doesn't need to know who though.

Yes, Gene let him know. He went as far to tell one of our members that they are bringing down the clan and stuff. I told the person to come to me if he has any trouble.

I had a chat with him a few hours ago, he seemed pretty apologetic.

Yeah I agree with Owen. Even when I was trying to have our weekly ts meeting he was like we need to go lvl 120+. I found him annoying. I know he is young so I'm going to ignore some of the things he does. Actually, I find his telling me to train make me not want to do it at all. Probably the rebellious female in me.

Somehow there has to be a way to calm him down. He has great intentions and we don't want to squash him. He just needs more guidance on how to deal with people.

My suggestion is when he starts we all pm him the link to how not to be a loser that Gene made. Maybe that will hit him and he will realize.

Of particular concern is Omar's oppinion that since he did it while he was trial its fine to do it now that he has graduated. No matter whether it is a joke or not it is getting on allot of peoples nerves now (at least 3 members were incredibly annoyed about it that I saw today) and it needs to stop.

I have to say I am absolutely infuriated by his attitude of not adding applicants unless they're 120+.

Your posts in level 2 just make too big a deal out of an issue that can be handled without alerting half the clan.

Gene I have talked to him in irc and in pm in irc. He just doesn't get it. He admits that I'm like the only low lvl that he likes. He likes Dieyou too, cause he is good at raiding. lol But it just isn't a good thing to be saying crap about the lower lvls as those are the people that are coming in to clans first time and may be the upcoming long term members we want.

I started this thread cause I am protective of lower levels and new members in general. If we had someone lvl 120 that was really bad at war and he started on them it would be just as bad. He thinks he will see results from harassing.

My real question now is . . . Do we even have a training issue currently? Like I think most of the people in the clan do train at least some each month. The Combat Skill training has helped me slowly get some training in. I like the attendance. I tried to suggest Omar take other approaches to get people to train too.

Omar has a place in WG and could be very positive. We just need him going in the right direction.

I also spoke to him. Trying to tell him to stop, before I went to bed. He was like. 'What are you going todo to me' So I kicked him, to try and get the message across. But he just came back 'and what'.

I agree, he's actions will become a negative on the clan. And we dont want this. He either bucks up, or gets out. My opinion.

We all want to raise WG's combat average, but that's all he cares about and he doesn't care about people's feelings when it comes to that.

However, I will say that when I talked to him he was being very rebellious.

He needs to understand that above everything else, we are a community clan. Sure PvP and skilling is great, but before everything else, we value our community. Sure it would be a nice thing for everybody to train and us to gain ranks, but really, thats the only thing I've seen him going for so far. Hes taking it into his own hands, and it isnt working.

He's becoming very difficult and narrow minded. Theres other things then just training, and he needs to understand it.

Admittedly it took me more like 2 minutes, not 30 seconds.

He seems to think that because he's not breaking an explicit rule that it's alright.

He also doesn't get that just because there is no obvious drama that doesn't mean there isn't a problem.

He's obviously incredibly short sighted and can't see anything that isn't brought to his immediate attention.

He doesn't see that telling the same people to train, over, and over, and over, and over again is harassment. When you annoy people, you harass them and that's what he doesn't understand.

When you annoy people, they become more and more uninterested in what you're asking them to do, but he feels that forcing people to do something means they'll do it to get him to leave them alone.

Maybe some type of punishment should be done to just reinforce our feeling on the matter?
