Frequently Asked QuestionsWill this affect my personal life? It's the same as getting a text message from a friend. You don't EVER need to reply. Simply delete the message. They won't be sent frequently, or at a late time. They be just reminders, that's all.
How often will I get texted? We rarely send text messages. Only when we need to boost attendance massively.
Sometimes it will be once a month, sometimes up to three times a week.
If I get a message be I required to attend?Nope, think of it as an alarm clock. Delete the messages as soon as you get them, and only attend the raid if you be free.
Who gets my phone number? We take your privacy very seriously. Only the Council have it. It's stored on our text-message website provider,
http://thesmszone.com/Can I choose what to get texts for?Sure you can. If you don't want to get texted for last minute raids, and only for wars, let us know.
Will I get texted if I have signed up already to an event?Well, texting costs us money. If you are at the event, we won't send you a text.
Can I pull out of the service at any time?Absolutely. If you don't want text messages, PM any Council member and you'll be taken off.
How many people use the serviceAbout half of WG takes us up on this offer. Nobody has ever complained about it.
______________
The most important thing for you to know be that this service comes at no cost to you except the occassional beep of your phone (at reasonable times of day of course). We recommend that you do give it to us. It won't harm you at all and many members have been able to attend our events because of it.
