On A Serious Note

Some of you know that I lost my bank to last Saturday's raid. Lordy knows, Lee and Groedius know as well as many others (Darf L). I will (probably) compete in the skill olympics, but for now I've got to find a plan, and QUICK. My graduation for AF is coming up and I've also got to raid for WG as well.


If I quit, this will be the end.

Not trying to be mean or anything, but this is something you could have prevented. Gene has already made posts about stocking up on gear after each raid. We don't go out every night and I know from being idle in AF's Vent that they don't go out all the time either, so it's not like you're losing sets left and right.

However, I have no idea how you do spend your money, so I can't say you're not using it on sets. What I would advise is that you use some of the simple, guaranteed money making schemes (Green Dragons) and not rely on GWD or Corp because they rely heavily on luck.

Also, you shouldn't go inactive due to having to build up sets for AF. No dis to AF, but WG is your primary clan, so you should be here for us before you go off preparing for them. I'm in the same situation as you - AF FA and having to make sure I'm stocked up on sets for when my full Member app comes up, but I can't slide WG to the side to make sure I make it into some auxiliary team.

So, to help you out, I'd say go kill Green Dragons. You're maxed melee so it'll be easy. Grab some Prosylete and run to the Chaos Tunnels and go to the room with Greens and Baby Blacks. Slap on Protect from Melee and then just unleash on them. Don't bring a BoB as that'll make each trip last longer, and you might not be able to get a full invent on just your base prayer points.

Pot up at the bank (Super At, Super Str, Anti-fire). Bring just a Whip and a teleport tablet to your house (get prayer back there). Use a mounted glory to teleport to Edgeville, bank and then repeat. It takes about 5-7 minutes to kill 13 dragons (26 items hides+bones). You'll have one extra space (26+1 teletab = 27). You can kill a 14th dragon and grab the hide/bone (whichever is worth most) and leave the other on the ground. If you're fast, you can be back in time to pick it up.

You can make a good 400k per 100 bones+hides. That's 8 runs (14*8 = 112) @ 7 minutes each = 57 minutes. So about 400k an hour FOR SURE. Do that a few times a day and you've got sets.

Toss in some 76ks and you've got more sets. If you think you've got enough sets for a raid, attend my Arma Massacre and any other money making events Vephy hosts.

I suggest you put a little less effort into personal goals so you can focus on WG and to a lesser extent AF.

Al take some initiative and solve these problems on your own. The clan is here to help you yes. However there are numerous ways to make cash quickly. Work on having better foresight and planning skills.

You seem to put more effort into crying posts than anything else lately. People who try to disrupt clans don't tend to remain around too long, and like RB said people are not out to hate you, it's just they often do not like having a serial drama queen amongst their ranks.

You seem like you just want to argue and try to make other seem the bad boy, when in-fact that is quite the contrary.

By saying "my post fails" it shows that on the original outset your argument was going to be and indeed would be full of flaws.

You never planned on attacking. Well unless you have a speedy 1000 words a second typing speed and incredible reaction speed and a useless use of the edit button, I see that you have had plenty of time to "revoke" this attack on him and thus not bringing it to the attention of the clan.

Don't see why this is needed.
Money is easy to make, it shouldn't be too hard.
Pay closely to what leaders call and you should survive for the most part.

Since I started making p2p raids, there have only been 2 or 3 raids over the spam of several months where people actually lost money or barely profited.

I don't see how you could have lost that many sets not maging .

You have plenty of time, theres no need to panic.

Honestly Al, we're here trying to help you get straightened out. Just because people are saying you fucked up at one point or another doesn't mean they are against you - it just means they're trying to point something out and help you realize a mistake.

All you're doing is MAKING people dislike you by responding with dumbass comments. We're being serious and you're joking around - does this show your real attitude toward WG?

What I'm saying is don't be so goddamn defensive when we're all here to help because all it does is make people WANT to see you get screwed over. Listen to people that are pointing out your faults and try to fix them.

You shouldn't even be going into temporary inactivity due to not having sets or money. Making money is something you do on your time, and buying stuff is something you do on your time. You KNEW full well that we were going more into P2P so you should have at LEAST had what the gear requirements listed plus more due to being an AF FA.

The point is that you knew what you had to have, but instead of making sure to keep up, you spent it on other things. Construction, RC, whatever it was, it's now gone and you're without sets, and I don't think it's acceptable to say "Hm...not gonna attend any events because I need money..."

I need money, but I don't have to go into temporary inactivity for reasons like this because I make sure when I DO have money I top up my sets. Keep up with or above the required gear requirements.

Personally, I'd interpret you being online during any event as event skipping as this really isn't a valid excuse. In this day and age in RS, making money is a joke if you're serious about it. You can make 10M+ just EPing the entire day - at 25% each set of kills.

We've got money making events being hosted this week, I think it'd be good you try to make them...

Over the course of 1-2 months...you didn't decide to buy more sets? How long were you going to rely on those 15 P2P sets? In 1-2 months even with deaths you should have been buying more sets to make sure you're ready at any time.

This is ALL on you, just keep that in mind. We're making events for you to attend to build EP for 76ks or make money via boss hunting. It's up to you to stop working on your personal goals and make the damn money.
