How little is too little?
By JC on 13/08/2009
This question arose when I was reading one of our current applications (
Application) where the applicant listed a very short amount of time that he is able to dedicate to WG per week.
So what do you think is a sufficient amount of time that an applicant should be able to dedicate to WG each week?
I guess this is approx how long Wg events last?
Skills event, 1-1.5 hours
Raid, 2-3 Hours
Combat/Skill of the week, Normally 3+ hours of Xp for Min Teir

I voted for the 6-9 because 15 is quite alot considering people have lifes outside of WG and RS. I'm sure that people in major clans like DI dedicated 24 hours + a week which is crazy considering your on that much. The question is, do you want to live a life on the computer or in the real world :S

The one thing that concerns me, is he could be indicating how much time he is willing to spend at Wg events, rather than his normal 'online time'. Perhaps it would be a good idea to either add a question to the app:
QUOTE |
On average, how many hours per week would you normally spend on Runescape? |
Or even modify the current question to:

Ooh. That revision looks better. I'll change it to that.

I voted 6-9 as the min. They need to be able to get to know us too. Big Al's time on his application was low if I recall correctly. Then once he got in he was called "lazy" and "inactive".

6-9 hours as events sounds appropriate, i was hitting about that for awhile before i got lolinactive
1-2 raids and an event or two, i mean what the point in joining a clan if you cba to attend the events and raids hosted?

And i first saw raches post about 6-9.
.... yea.

i say it mostly depends on what you call active..
6-9 is ideal but i could go one scale lower for events..mainly because most of the time the member is active thru irc.
for me personally, i work whenever you guys have events. but if i get a chance that's my 3-6 hours =D
need a mon-fri job to do 6-9

by the title i thought you were talking about something else...
For me, i said 3 - 6 hours a week, because I have a life lol. And I dont tell people i play runescape, so when im on my friends computer/s i dont play it lol. unless its with my best friend, he knows i play. <3

Honestly, during the school year, you can't expect someone to give more than weekends and perhaps some time on IRC.
It gets to be especially bad near the end of a quarter/end of school, which is why when I implemented the rolling raid counter I made it possible to build up your events. This way during times when you can, you can get credit for the time you do spend, and when you are busy, you don't have to.
I figure 1.5 events a week on average, plus a minimum of 6hrs/week on IRC. That shouldn't be too hard for anyone, really.

Bad poll.
It's the quality of time, not quantity.
Nulled.
By Winddancir on 21/08/2009
It's both quality and quantity. Like for example the Skill Olympics. You need to spend lots of time skilling, plus then normal stuff is more quality.
If you can't spend at least 6-9 hours A WEEK with the clan... What's the point in it really? That's like 2 hours every weekday. Or one hour on weekdays, and 3-5 on a weekend.
