DDoS Attacks

By Bassism on 17/08/2009
Wow, some people are absolute losers, me and my team beat some other people at Halo 3, fine, nothing wrong there, as I'm looking for the next match everything goes down, internet, router, xbox crashes. I'm back up online about 5 minutes later and I check my router logs, and I've been DDoS attacked, basically meaning, someone spammed my IP with packets until it went offline for a bit. DDoS'ing is highly illegal, and thankfully I have their IPs, so I'll be contacting their ISP shortly I would think.

I doubt it's prison, but their ISP will probably cancel, and they may get fined.

How do they get your ip addresses? O.o IRC?

By Mochacho456 on 14/12/2009
Most DDoS attacks use groups of "zombie" computers that aren't actually those of the actual attackers.
