Annoying applications

I'm sure you are aware that the current application is pretty damn annoying.
Screen shots suck.
It might be a repellent from WG for some people.

Here are some possible solutions:

-Screenshot of 5 people = 3 people post referrals
-IRC screenshot = A.PM a staff member (not just council) for confirmation or B. Put a code in #wg_lobby that is updated frequently. changed my mind on B, can be leaked etc.
-Mentor question = Just ask yes or no, not who.


Also, for graduation,
-How long question = date of acceptance.
-Five event screens = REMOVED. We have an event tracker.
-10 member shot = Remove, just use the 5 referrals.
-Teamspeak = Get a staff confirmation.

I gotta disagree on the 5 members screenshot change. It gives us a look into their friends list to see what type of people they have added (Possible spy, etc).

IRC screenshot - Staff PM seems sufficient.

As for mentors.. it could get a huge load of their backs if some applicants didn't need a mentor. :s

Graduation
Date of acceptance seems good.
Event Tracker - Agreed.
10 members - Disagree: Same as the previous one with the 5 member screenshot.
Teamspeak - Agreed.


Gotta wait for other council to post or else I would go ahead and make changes myself.

Well now that won't be a problem with the new nazi "Devoice everyone in #wg if they're not talking in #wg_lobby" scheme.

People will pay attention to #wg_lobby, making it easier on them. As for the 10 member screenshot, just 1 raid or war will easily take care of that one.

Along with this, I think we should be more strict with the types of referrals we allow from our own members...

Like at least a paragraph that spells out WHY the person should be accepted.

Regardless of rank, if our members' referrals are "Yah, he gud pk, reffed," our clan looks like a bunch of mindless idiots.

I know in clans like DF and stuff people will give referrals to people if they're seen binding during PKRIs and stuff, but we're different. Since we're a strong community clan, we need to make that a huge part of who we accept.

I'm just sick of seeing stuff like Randy has pointed out, with the constant "ADD ME PL0X I NEED FOUR MORE MEMBERS FOR SCREENIE!" I mean come the fuck on...that's the dedication we're letting in. Like Kyle said, a single raid would take care of that.

I recently got asked to refer someone that I had never spoke to before. I simply told them I only refer who I know or have spent time chatting to in irc. I think members have a responsibility to be like that. If I add anyone that I don't know for a screenie I make sure to get to know them after.

The ex members coming back need their events set back to zero.
