Gamer was... interesting. Very entertaining, and the story itself (which extends a bit beyond what you're led to expect from the trailers) is absolutely top notch. EXCRUCIATING visual effects and flashbacks can make about half the movie a massive blur, but a very entertaining blur. The beginning has its kicks and starts but the rest of the movie is a huge adrenaline rush and the climax isn't lacking either.
There's a few loose strings at the end (due to some chaotic sequence syncing) which - frankly - can make it all a bit confusing, but overall I think it was definitely worth the entertainment price of the ticket. Also, there's definitely a societal critique underlying that bloodbath. It'll be interesting how this sets the stage for
Surrogates at the end of the month. Anyway, very intense and nutty - Michael Hall is a superb modernized psychopath.
Just don't go if you're prone to seizures, I got out of the theater an hour ago an my eyes still hurt.
