Ok there's been A LOT of mentor threads recently from evil and myself and others, but the issue is definitely still there. I know Darth and BTO know this from AF but their mentor system is very good. They just find a few, 2 or 3, people who are knowledgeable and active to take the mentor rank. And it works! All you would have to do is find those people, give them the rank, and tell people to add them for questions upon acceptance.


Sooo much better than the system we have now. It takes FOREVER to update and keep up to date, plus you know the mentors are doing a good job or not.

Agreed, I really like how the AF mentor system is structured, granted I joined before it was really put into place.

It's much easier having a few really good mentors than one for every...single...person.

And the way it would work is if a member had a question, they'd just ask, rather than the mentor basically babysitting them.

I do agree that our mentor system needs some major revising.
It hasnt been really functioning like we all wanted for a very long time.

I'm not sure the system suggest will work well, but I'm open to other ideas.

Being a mentor and helping out the new people is probably my favorite thing I do in WG.

I love getting to know everyone. I'd be willing to be a mentor in a new system too. Having lets say 5 to 10 mentees would still be very good. Not everyone takes a lot of attention and some just take more one on one.

Sounds like a good idea. Haven't been in AF yet, but I trust the judgment of all of you here to agree to the idea lol. A few people would be better and less monitoring of multiple mentors.
