I agree with Rachy, WG after all being renowned for our community. Maybe more attention could have been given to Colin, or maybe he could have taken action and consulted his mentor or someone about the situation. But in any case, why debate on who to throw the blame on... if you think you have the dedication required I would say re-apply. This would definitely be taken into consideration.

Going against the fact that me and Colin are always in disputes about... well.. rather dumb disputes of religion and all those other subjects that can be argued forever.

Despise all that I still don't see why he should be demoted down to an ex-member/guest. WG has become a bit too hard headed when it comes like this. Attendance points? What the hell is this? RS is about having fun. WG is about having fun. Why make a mandatory tracking system of who's attending events? If that's so much as a problem just recruit more. Besides, we were (in my opinion) a more diverse and fun clan when we had large numbers (even if it does bring down our average level).

Down to business. I say give him his rank/status back, this is just silly and I think anyone would be at least a little frustrated.

Very true. I can see both sides of the story.

Colin's side:
He's been here a long time (3 years). He's definitely given his fair share of commitment towards WG. Thus, accepting him as a member should be expected. It's a clan, it's not school, there should be some leniency here. Not only does it sound ridiculous to him but to others that can relate (or at least put themselves in his shoes)

Those Opposing Colin:
He should be treated like everyone else and should follow the rules. If he can't then too bad.


I understand these two sides. And also where they are all coming from. Unfortunately even sympathizing with those who see that he deserves this. He doesn't.
My argument for this is not specifically directed at the fact that Colin deserve this. No. My argument is at the fact that members of an online clan, community, family, whatever you want to refer to WG as. As part of this, people should be welcomed the minute they enter. I don't know the reason behind kicking members that don't attend graduation. This is not university or college. This clan in my mind resembles a political/governing organization. And the fact is that it shouldn't. I don't want to sound like an old timer preaching you guys on "the oh so good old days" blah blah blah. I'm not. I'm just saying that WG should loosen its belt and make some tweaks on this ridiculous system of "graduation". It's an honor to join WG. But lets not make it a stress. Because I (and I know for FACT, that Eugene does also) use this community as an escape from reality. This is my home away from home. And when you start laying down crap like this, it just causes the clan to lose its charm that pulls me towards it.

The reason for my argument is not to go against the newer members on being fair regarding this issue, or completely to side with Colin. My argument is towards making this clan more appreciative of ALL its members as well as more understanding. These rules just complicate the clan for nothing.

What you gotta remember colin, is that I have been here a fair old while myself....

I think you will find..we have had 2 wars, in 2 weeks..you just failed to attend..What your failing to understand, is that we will not grow, and again become the WG we once were, wiht 70 people on a memberlist, with 10 people attending a raid. That doesnt look good for recruitment, and get us back to pulling 30 people to a no prepper. and like 70-80 people, with a week prep. Like back when you first joined. Im not trying to turn us into a powerhouse, im trying to get us back to our, former glory. Back being on top, fighting the big guys. Im with the council on this 100%...im not questioning you dedication in the past, but I dont want ex members rejoining and thinking 'oh im oldschool WG, I killed 12 people in 2001 and I want super treatment'. Have you seen who else got removed from the MemberList? Scarface...(WG legend), Philapeeno(another legend). So your not the only one colin...

Emeritus is for people who achieved higher guardian, in the current time here....Which you failed to even graduate....
