Where the Wild Things Are

By Planolocal on 27/09/2009
Where the Wild Things Are is a movie based off a popular children's book. It was one of my favorite's growing up, and now it's coming to the big screen.

SYNOPSIS-
Maurice Sendak's classic book comes to the big screen in an adventure tale for every generation. "Where the Wild Things Are" follows the adventure of Max, a mischievous young boy who is sent to his room after rebelling against his mother. Max's imagination is free to roam, and it soon transports him to a thriving forest bordering a vast sea. Delighted, he sets sail for the land of the Wild Things, where mischief reigns and Max rules. In bringing this imaginative fantasy to life, Jonze leads a team of filmmakers incorporating the most dynamic elements of voice performance, live-action puppetry and computer animation

The movie opens October 16th, 2009. Damn I'm Pumped.

It's gonna be HUGE. Geniuses for making it, America will suck on its dick. Prolly won't see it. Visually looks good.

More excited for Fantastic Mr. Fox. I <3 Wes Anderson.

Probably not

By WG_Keanu on 27/09/2009
Absolutely love the book.

The film's plot isn't very clear from the trailer but I would still watch it if it's anywhere near as good as the book is. I'm not a big fan of the conversion from cartoon-based drawing book style to proper film but in this case I'll make an exception.

By Planolocal on 27/09/2009
Yeah dude, for sure. fantastic Mr. Fox looks dope as shit. But I'm tellin ya, this movie is going to be fantabulous.

I think it's going to be a superb childrens' classic, and I'll probably end up seeing it with my brother and sister. But in reality, this is the movie that's going to be the best one of the year:

NINE

I'm seriously expecting it to be the most inspirational movie in terms of creativity since LotR.

Gonna see it faded, looks enjoyable. Will DEFINITELY see it though.

Also: District 9? UP? Inglourious Basterds? Star Trek? HP: Half Blood Prince? Watchmen? Coraline? We've had more good movies this year than usual and we've got some clinchers still due before the end of the year. Overall I think we're doing above average.

Book was good. Don't bother trying to compare the movie to the book. Movie will suck compared to the book. Really.

Not going to bother to watch it until I can see it online in good quality.

I have heard a lot about it and honestly, that may well be its downfall since the expectations of it are enormous
