September Promotions and MoTM

Well, we've actually let this one slip a bit so we might need to act a bit faster than normal:

Personally...I don't like any of her suggestions for Higher to Elite. First off...two is a lot when you're talking about the highest rank possible short of Staff. Second...I don't think either of them has really done anything besides be "nice".

Her other suggestions are "meh" at best. Nothing about them really strikes me as worthy of a promotion.

As for MoTM, nobody jumps out at me.

Wow that sucks when you think we are finally thinking of promoting him lol.

To be honest he has done a lot and still deserves the promotion I think. He could have a change of heart?

Moment of weakness.
He still wants to remain in WG, he won't be leaving anytime soon.
Even so, he deserves this promotion for the previous things he has done.... one opinion of his does not disregard his last few months of hard work.

Never gotten in trouble

Was more than happy to help all trial guardians to graduate

First one is hardly worth calling out.

Second one...how many topics do we have in Level 3 about Omar again? Last I read, we're thinking about banning him just for causing drama...I think Joe is right in that case and people have been doing FAR worse than that.

Third is hardly anything...when in our leisure we're saying "FUUUUUUUUUUU" which we all know is shorthand for "Fuck you!!!!!"

Fourth...really? In what POSSIBLE way is that even remotely bad?

Fifth is an opinion...he can't even say that he doesn't agree with our current system? For God's sake we had Randy suggesting we revamp the whole damn thing and he's now a Raid Leader...Joe can't even say that he doesn't think it's not working?

Sorry Gorge, but none of those seem even remotely bad on Joe's side.

I just went back to find some of those quotes, in context.

The first one was on Imp's leaving thread...you HONESTLY think that post is inappropriate? Sure it's not "super serious talk" but it's actually grounds to keep Joe from getting promoted...because he pointed out the obvious? That ENTIRE topic was a flame on Imp's part and all it did was cause a shitstorm of drama...which on the internet is incredibly childish.

Second quote. Again on Imp's leaving topic. Considering what WE say about Omar I think Joe calling him a douchebag is being nice. He literally made Imp leave. Not that Imp was being a model member...but Omar, by himself, was able to make a member leave...yeah I'd call him a douchebag too.

The third quote was in response to Wayne posting a link to a song. You REALLY think that was him being a dick? Honestly...I say stuff like that EVERY day. Another way of saying it is "Someone was deprived as a child." He's obviously not being serious...and you should know that. Not all posts' meaning are going to be handed to you, your private school education in English must have taught you to imply a bit...

The fourth...yeah. That IS SO BAD OF HIM! He's posting a fucking opinion. Holy shit...

Fifth...another goddamn opinion...

Using these quotes as "evidence" just reinforce people's claims that the Leadership is censoring EVERYTHING. Joe can't get promoted because he disagrees and has a different opinion...brilliant.

MoTM - Actually, I was thinking Dylan. Nobody else has jumped out at me except him, and with his mentee, he took the initiative to make sure he was completely ready for his graduation.
Showing dedication for so long in WG, and never causing trouble with anyone in the clan, either.

Anyone else that you could think of?

I still think Joe deserves to be promoted to Higher Guardian.

I'd be hesitant to give MoTM and a Promotion to the same person. Not that it's bad, I just don't feel good about it. Regardless, if he has done THAT much for the clan, then he deserves it. If it's just a matter of "He did more than them," then it's not.

September Promotions and Member of the Month
