Spec you
By George on 07/10/2009
I think that we should accept him...
But keep a very strict eye on him.
If we do get crashed by RoT (although they're not gonna bother hunting us now, we're not big enough anymore) ... then we know who it is who's done it.

We can't hold him accountable for RoT.
Yeah, it's a bit iffy and pretty coincidental that his brother is in RoT, but I still think it's no grounds for keeping him out of WG.
If we run into RoT...we do NOT know it's him. What we DO know is that RoT found us once. If we run into RoT ALL THE TIME...we still do not know he's leaking anything. His brother could be logging in under him (on the forums) or maybe it's a family computer. Or maybe while he's eating and he stays logged on the forums his brother takes a peak...in each scenario he's done nothing wrong.
Yes, it seems the safe way to go is to decline...but the decent thing to do...the WG thing to do is to accept him and give him a chance.
We can't hold him accountable for any RoT/WG encounters we have.
Besides, running into RoT would at least give us some action...and Gene was talking about starting to rekindle the WG/RoT rivalry...
Besides, the same could work for us. If he finds out about any small RoT trips, we can mass up more people take them out, then hop worlds when they get more people.
If we work our way up, we can use this.

Exactly what I was going to put.
By Zemus3654 on 07/10/2009
idk... i guess we should give him a chance, but we should try to keep an eye on him.
By Randy on 07/10/2009
As much as I would like him to be accepted, even the slightest chances oh him being a spy should not be taken lightly. The kid has relations with the biggest nh clan in rs and if we accept him RoT will laugh at how easy our app process is. We can't be that desperate for one member that we have to sacrifice our info...
By Bassism on 07/10/2009
What info? We find out he's spying he get's banned, the end, we don't have weekly trips anymore, apart from the Aussie raid.
Accept him.

Not just event info. Remember when Adelais got a spy in? Our whole boards were put into the public. For a clan that advertises being the safest and most secure clan out there, we really can't be this stupid.

Either way, I don't think we should pre judge Spec You based on what's happened in the past, we've let people in who have actually been members of RoT before, I don't see why we should decline someone based on the fact that thair brother is RoT. Do we know if they share a PC or anything?
By DZ on 07/10/2009
Yeah most of you are right, I don't think we can decline him solely on the basis his brother was in RoT... and at least he told us right? We'll just keep an eye on him. If he becomes one of those trials who disappear its an easy removal for us.

IN rot. In in in in in
Awful decision
By DZ on 07/10/2009
We're going to keep an eye on him... majority of us felt it would be OK to accept him so I did.
We'll just be extra strict with him when it comes to activity.
By Back to Own on 07/10/2009
You guys are forgetting that they live in the same household.
So what if the guy turns out to be the good guy? It doesnt matter. His brother will have the same access that he does. He will be able to access forums/teamspeak whenever.
By Bassism on 07/10/2009
Eye gotz mai eyez on himz.
By DZ on 07/10/2009
Yeah I assigned Owen as his mentor as I want a staff member to be watching him. It's not like if he is a bad apple we can't kick him... at least we're giving him a chance.
