Muddy chest?

After my 4 tooth/loop half drops in 2 days at fire giants, I remembered there was a f2p equivalent. Useless as it is, I wondered how many people have ever bothered to trek through the lava maze with their muddy key and open the chest for something like an anchovy pizza and a mith dagger.

I think I did it once... late 2005/early 2006, I remember racing through the lava maze at like level 30, got to the chest at like 10hp and opened it and was like... oh.

It's the one in the centre of the lava maze. I went in several times only to find it locked with no Tip.It or RSC back then and when I found out about the muddy keys I spent 3 months killing chaos dwarves without a single drop.

The steel platebody was a nice consolation price though.

I get Muddy Keys ever other drop at Dwogres and cannoneers. Regardles they are left on the floor.

I guess it's one of the more obscure F2P things. It's pretty useless anyway but pretty cool if you're like... level 30.

Yeah, I remember when I used to 4 item at Chaos Dwarves, collect a heap of keys then try to make it to the centre of the maze and back out again before getting spotted

Ah I remember people talking about this.
When I say people, I mean noobs.

I didn't bother investigating into it as I thought I'd never be bothered going all the way into the lava maze through those hill giants & stuff as it was like another world to me & I just could be assed.

I also thought that since I hadn't heard about it at my level back then, then it wasn't worth hearing about lol.

Muddy key? Chest wut? Never got it, never heard of it, not going to do all that for a lousy prize! XD
