So, Council Elections?

By DZ on 14/10/2009
So, what are we going to do to replace BTO? I would like to make sure we have a plan sooner rather than later.

It is obvious that we need to bring in another council member, whether it be a warlord or a general council. I am still not decided on whether I am up for taking the warlord position or not, it depends on what we think the best outcome will be.

I would much rather not simply appoint someone into to council even though we had elections not too long ago, I've always been against appointments into council. The only thing I'm worried about is that there may not be very many applicants resulting in basically a free walk into council for the favoured applicant. There's not really much we can do to prevent that, so oh well.

So, what do you think we should do? Hold elections for a general council spot and move myself to warlord? Hold elections for a warlord? Simply appoint someone into council? (I'm saying this because, based on the last elections, Owen would probably be the only one to run).

Lets get a plan going.

I think that you should take the warlord position.
You've done it before and you did it REALLY well.
HOWEVER - if you don't want to that is fine.

I am usually against appointments as well.... however time is kind of of the essence... but not only that.
I am in favour of just appointing Owen (obviously we ask him first biggrin.gif) because whoever is promoted needs to change things.
There's no point in pretending - we need a fricking miracle. The heart has gone from WG and it all started when Gene went inactive (dry.gif hint hint...)
So for this reason we need someone who we KNOW is good. Owen has done it before and he IS good.

Alright, I'll step in as Warlord. The only thing is I'm no where near as good in P2P as BTO was. F2P has always been my forte.

I'm fine with appointing Owen into council as long as he maintains his activity, which I'm sure he will. Just make sure to talk to him first and see if he would rather have elections or not (and if he's up for it obviously). When I was appointed into council way back when, it just wasn't the same as being elected in.

Ok well if Gene, Darfie and Kev agree.... then I propose we tell him TOGETHER at a meeting on the weekend?

F2P is the way WG has to go now anyway. P2P isnt too hot atm.

Owen would make an amazing council member. All for it.

Do you guys think that promoting two council would be too much?

Just throwing that idea out there.

By George on 15/10/2009
Yes I think so.
Also we can't just promote two without elections like that.... and if we do go for 2 we HAVE to do elections for BOTH, can't do them different ways - it wouldn't be fair.
But 2 more is too many neko2.gif

Right. The though just came to mind and I figured I'd post it.

I'll take over as Warlord. It's probably what I can do best but I still won't shy away from the other things I've been doing.
