Advertising on our forums

OK, so it appears that our forums are now a source of free advertising for people. Constantly we are getting people on the forums posting topics about loans and other stuff. I think this should well be an issue to sort out on the councils ajenda as there hasn't been a single day where there hasn't been a topic containing adverts.

Its real people signing the accounts up so we just have to continue to ban them.

The council should atleast give out some IP bans because the same person ha done it twice in a row.

Or, atleast, mae it so you need to validate your email adress, it will make it harder >.<

They did IP ban them. Its different people.

Well i dont know much the council can do, this stuff happens and all they can do is keep moderating the forums i suppose

It sucks but all we can do is give IP bans. We can't stop new users from doing it.

Make a public advert forum. then it will all be in there.. (should be anyways) then it will be much easier to track. or u can just leave it there. And bann if they do it elsewear

First off, I have IP-banned and deleted each person/bot I have been told about.
Secondly, we can't do much - We already have a capcha image, and its pretty good I think, so I figure its probably out-of-work gold farmers trying to make some money again.

God... I hate where the world is going to... all these damn advertisements.. It's getting sad. When my tv. program is stopped to play an ad. I want to go over there AND KILL THE NOOB!!
